Hall of Fame Inductees Ken Griffey Jr., Mike Piazza Recreate Classic SI Cover

Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza each received the call from Cooperstown on Wednesday, which brought back memories of a classic Sports Illustrated cover featuring the two stars early in their respective careers.

Now that the two are going into the National Baseball Hall of Fame together, it made for the perfect opportunity to recreate that cover.

Back in 1994, Sports Illustrated wrote on the front of its baseball preview that Griffey and Piazza were leading the game's next generation of stars:

After doing their Hall of Fame press conference, Junior and Piazza were at the MLB Network studios. That's where they turned back the clock and recreated the cover, nearly 22 years later.

And now we're all experiencing some serious nostalgia.
