Barcelona Transfer News: Luis Enrique Discusses Denis Suarez and January Plans
Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has admitted he is considering activating the buyback clause in Denis Suarez's deal with Villarreal after selling the 21-year-old in August.
The Blaugrana boss said he is weighing up whether to bring the prodigy back to the Camp Nou as he assesses the needs of his squad in January and the summer, as reported by Matthew Rogerson of Goal:
"I think I've seen him play well, he played with Sevilla but could have played more there.
He looks good and is playing well and could be an option for us.
It's possible that players will leave but it will be based on reinforcing the team. We're looking at everything, the window hasn't opened but you always have to think about improving the team.
That means not just players coming in but also players leaving.

The promising forward spent 12 months in Andalusia with Sevilla last term but opted to sign a four-year deal with the Yellow Submarine, per Rogerson. The contract allows Barca to re-sign Suarez at the end of the current campaign or in 2017, giving the treble winners first refusal on his talents.
Here is a video of the player's contributions for Sevilla last term:
Enrique's side remain top of the La Liga standings, despite missing a game due to their involvement in the Club World Cup in Japan—a competition they comfortably won against River Plate in the final.
The manager now has the opportunity to blood recent captures Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan, who will both make their debuts in the weeks ahead after Barca complete their FIFA registration ban for signing under-age players, leading to sanctions from the governing body, per Rogerson.

The Spaniard explained he thinks his side are in fine fettle after their Japanese success, and his two new additions are ready to make an impression in Catalonia, as quoted by Rogerson:
"We're in conditions like last year but we are getting players back. They have to adapt but each case is special.
Some have played more than others but there are lots of cases to look at and decisions to make.
I look at all these things calmly, making decisions that are best for the team but my feeling is that we're doing better than last year.
I don't know how to describe how Turan and Vidal feel, but I know they're hungry to help on the field.
Off-field they have formed part of the group in the dressing room, they have been well accepted by the team so all that's left is to contribute with their play.
"

Turan is a dynamic addition to Barca's midfield and attack, and the Turkey captain achieved great success at former club Atletico Madrid.
The battling 28-year-old—who features across the pitch—will add a dimension lost after the sale of Pedro to Chelsea, providing support for the club's MSN trinity of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
However, the attacker's goalscoring statistics have not been exceptional in recent years, netting only three times in 42 La Liga and Champions League matches last term, according to WhoScored.com.
Turan is likely to be used in more of a deeper support function at Barca than he was in the Spanish capital at the Calderon Stadium.

In an interview with Eurosport's Pete Burton, club legend Xavi lauded the purchase of Turan and also tipped his hat towards Vidal's talents and potential contributions:
"[Turan's] going to be very important. Both Arda and Aleix [Turan], who is hardly spoken about, will be very important. Because if you think about it, they are both versatile and they can play in any position, midfield for example.
Aleix can play in defence too, Arda can be midfielder and forward. He can adapt to any position. I think he has spectacular talent, and he’s going to bring a lot to Barca, but of course, we have to wait until January.
"
Despite Enrique's comments about Suarez, it is unlikely the youngster will quickly find his way back to the Camp Nou after being shown the door while Barca were serving a transfer embargo.
Suarez has impressed for Villarreal in recent weeks, scoring twice against Real Sociedad in La Liga, but he will have to show great consistency to be considered for the Blaugrana squad.
The Spain under-21 international is filled with exceptional talent, but it will have to develop substantially at El Madrigal to earn a transfer back to Catalonia in the next 18 months.
