Baltimore +110 over Toronto:
Good opportunity for the Orioles to pick up a rare road win tonight as they wrap up a series in Toronto. Jeremy Guthrie will oppose Scott Richmond as both of these teams can’t wait for 2009 to end.

Gurthrie (10-15, 5.05) leads the league in losses, but has pitched much better of late. The Home Run ball has plagued him all season (30 allowed), but he looks like he’ll be set for a spot in the O’s rotation in 2010. Guthrie is 2-3 with a 3.16 ERA in his last starts, much better than his full season numbers.

On the other hand, Jays starter Scott Richmond (6-10, 5.31) started the year very well, but has simply been atrocious of late. He’s 0-3 with a 10.88 ERA in his last 5 starts. Richmond has allowed 28 runs on 36 hits in his last 22 innings pitched. These numbers have to make me wonder why Cito Gaston keeps running him out there every five days. He’s either tired or injured, and this will not give him any confidence headed into 2010.
