NFL Week 17 Betting Odds: Panthers, Patriots, Bengals, Packers Among Favorites

OddsShark.comDec 28, 2015

With the Carolina Panthers (14-1) suffering their first loss of the season on Sunday to the Atlanta Falcons (8-7), home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs remains up for grabs between them and the Arizona Cardinals (13-2).

A pair of Week 17 games involving the conference’s two top teams will determine who earns the No. 1 seed.

The Panthers host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-9) as consensus 10.5-point home favorites at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark and have won the past five meetings with a 4-1 mark against the spread. Carolina has also gone 9-0 ATS in its last nine after failing to cover consecutive games.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals welcome the Seattle Seahawks (9-6) to University of Phoenix Stadium as 4.5-point favorites and will be looking to win their 10th game in a row. Arizona is the hottest team in the league with the Panthers losing, going 5-4 ATS during its nine-game winning streak.

However, the visiting team is 4-1 straight up and ATS in the last five meetings between them.

In the AFC, home-field advantage is also on the line in Week 17. The defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots (12-3) visit the Miami Dolphins (5-10) as nine-point road favorites trying to lock up the No. 1 seed. The Patriots have won nine of the previous 11 games against the Dolphins, who have failed to cover six straight overall.

The winner of the Week 16 Monday Night Football game between the Denver Broncos (10-4) and Cincinnati Bengals (11-3) also has a shot at the top seed in the AFC by earning another victory in Week 17 coupled with a loss by New England.

The Bengals will host the Baltimore Ravens (5-10) as seven-point favorites, while the Broncos are listed as 7.5-point home chalk against the San Diego Chargers (4-11).

Another divisional matchup will decide who wins the NFC North title on Sunday night. The Green Bay Packers (10-5) and Minnesota Vikings (10-5) will battle it out at Lambeau Field, with the latter going 7-0 ATS in their last seven games as road underdogs.

The Packers, who have been stagnant on the Super Bowl betting lines, according to Odds Shark, are three-point home favorites and have gone 5-0-1 SU and 5-1 ATS in the past six home meetings with Minnesota.
