Chelsea Transfer News: Latest Jonathan Calleri and Ademola Lookman Rumours
Chelsea target Jonathan Calleri has once again poured fuel on the speculative fire that he could be headed to Stamford Bridge in January.
The Boca Juniors striker has been making eyes at a move to Europe for some time, and the 22-year-old has stepped up his bid to earn a transfer. Per Metro's Sean Kearns, he said:
"I’m very interested in the Premier League, Serie A and La Liga.
Of the latter, I see Real Madrid and Barcelona. In England, I follow Chelsea and Manchester City.
And of course in Italy to watch football Inter, Juventus and Milan. I like to see a bit of everything, even if one of the things that most prefer is the Argentine football.

As Kearns notes, Chelsea have been linked with a move for the striker and are "said to be interested" in snapping him up.
The Argentinian burst onto the scene in style this year with 21 goals and 11 assists to his name.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are in desperate need of a spark up front having been goal-shy this season with just 23 scored in 18 Premier League matches.
Diego Costa, one of the Blues' most disappointing performers this term, encouragingly bagged a brace against the in-form and defensively solid Watford on Sunday but equally showed the major problem with his game: discipline.
The Spain international also picked up his fifth booking of the season to earn a one-game ban for Chelsea's trip to Manchester United, and the front man is always liable to be suspended thanks to his aggressive style of play.
With the Blues having few quality alternatives, at least one forward is needed to help Chelsea salvage their season, and Calleri would make a promising addition in that regard.

Chelsea are also reportedly targeting Charlton youngster Ademola Lookman, according to the Sun.
The 18-year-old is living a Cinderella story having gone from playing in the Sunday League to Charlton's senior side in little more than a year. The forward has now made seven appearances for the Addicks after making his debut in November, scoring three times.
Lookman impressively grabbed a brace against Bolton Wanderers, per Sky Sports Statto:
After making his first appearance for Charlton, the youngster expressed his immense pride at the moment. Per George Jones of the club's official website, he said:
"I was very, very pleased. This is a very big step up for me. I’ve still got to work hard, do the right things and look to establish myself in the squad.
"
Coming from Sunday league into a professional club was always going to be a big step. I’m happy with how I’ve adapted and I’m pleased with my progress.
It’s good that this club gives opportunities to young players.
The pacey youngster has understandably come to the attention of Premier League clubs—the Sun's report also notes Southampton as a prospective suitor—but his career has barely begun in earnest, and he should be given chance to develop at Charlton, not to mention his comments seemingly indicate he's happy to stay.
At Chelsea, even with their current struggles, he wouldn't likely be given that chance to do so as he would most likely be loaned out immediately as per their traditional handling of young prospects.
Lookman has great potential, but he would be best served staying where he is for the time being, and he may well recognise that himself and turn down any Premier League offers.
