When it comes to cruel Christmas presents, one Aston Villa fan got it bad on Friday.

Opening gifts on December 25 is supposed to be a joyous time, but not when you unwrap your team's Premier League shirt emblazoned with Football League badges.

Times are tough at Villa Park, and this is the last thing a supporter would have needed ahead of the Boxing Day fixture against West Ham.

The image of the shirt appeared on Reddit, and it quickly spread across the internet as the football world basked in the misery of this poor soul.
