Liverpool Transfer News: Lucas Moura, Giuseppe Rossi, Ademola Lookman Rumours
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will battle Arsenal for the £21.8 million signing of Lucas Moura, after the attacker lost his starting place in the Paris Saint-Germain first-team.
The Sun (h/t Joe Short of the Express) reported the German coach wants the pace merchant to boost his forward line in January, but he will face competition from the Gunners for his signature.
The Brazil international was one of the most prized youngsters in world football when he arrived at PSG from Sao Paolo in 2013 but has since been displaced by Angel Di Maria after the Argentinian's transfer from Manchester United.

Here is a video of the player's best moments this year:
The 23-year-old has genuine creativity and guile and provided seven goals and six assists from his 25 appearances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League last term, according to WhoScored.com.
The player would certainly fit Klopp's mandate to attack, mirroring his approach at Borussia Dortmund before he arrived on English shores.
Bleacher Report's Ligue 1 writer Andrew Gibney recently proclaimed his excitement about Moura's talents:
The Reds have been hugely inconsistent in the German's opening gambit as manager and lie 14th in the Premier League form guide after three defeats in their last six.
Klopp could also look towards a former United striker to improve his attacking options, and he is interested in Italian international Giuseppe Rossi.
Italian outlet ItaSportPress (h/t the Telegraph) said Liverpool are "weighing up" an £18 million move for the former Red Devil, who plays for Fiorentina.
Much like Moura, Rossi has fallen on hard times at his club and is struggling to break into the first team after injury problems.

However, the striker has an excellent career strike rate, scoring 115 goals in 275 appearances overall, per the Telegraph. Rossi's agent Andrea Pastorello said his client is keen to start playing regularly once more:
"He's like a dog chasing his tail.
To be a top player he has to get back to full fitness, but to do that he needs to play consistently.
It’s a thought, nothing more. It’s absolutely not a problem or a controversy, but there’s no doubt that if he doesn’t play it’ll be difficult for him to get back to being the top player he is.
"

Klopp is also reviewing Charlton Athletic striker Ademola Lookman and has scouted the teenager, according to Louis Sealey of the News Shopper.
The youngster has impressed since making the breakthrough at the south London club, attracting the interest of the Reds, Southampton, Arsenal and Chelsea, per Metro's Lee Thomas-Mason.
The honeymoon period for Klopp came to a close at Watford in the Premier League as his side were battered and humiliated, losing 3-0 to the Hornets. The sting in the tail was too much for Liverpool's midfield and defence, and they looked woefully short against a direct Watford attack.
However, Klopp needs midfielders and forwards with pace to allow his team to break up the field with more economy and verve. This element was acutely lacking against Watford and has plagued the German manager since he took over the reins.
Moura and Rossi would be interesting additions for the Anfield club, and both players have the acumen to be successful in the Premier League.
