Manny Pacquiao Links Miss Universe 2015 Controversy with Floyd Mayweather Fight
Boxer Manny Pacquiao has emerged as an unlikely source of commentary on this week's Miss Universe drama.
In case you missed it, host Steve Harvey erroneously named Colombia's Ariadna Gutierrez as winner of Miss Universe 2015 earlier this week, allowing her celebrations to go on for several minutes before correcting his mistake and crowning Pia Wurtzbach of the Philippines.
Scenes, indeed.
Bizarrely enough, Wurtzbach's countryman Pacquiao was questioned about the pageant in an interview with Philstar.com (via MailOnline).
"Courage is grace under pressure—this is what Pia showed in the middle of the confusion and controversy that marked her coronation as the new Miss Universe," he said before making an astonishing connection with his loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. (who himself has been "busy" recently) in Las Vegas earlier in the year.

"Remember when I lost to Floyd last May, she made a promise to all of us Filipinos that she will avenge that defeat comes the Miss Universe pageant which she just has fulfilled."
Surprisingly enough, this wasn't Pacquiao's first foray into the world of beauty pageants. He previously sat alongside Donald Trump as a judge in January and questioned one contestant on global terrorism in one of 2015's stranger moments of television entertainment.
