Gronkowski Reaches 1,000 Receiving Yards for 3rd Time
New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski already has 1,016 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns this year, making him the first player at his position to record three separate seasons with 1,000 or more yards and double-digit touchdowns, per ESPN Stats & Info.
The 26-year-old superstar reached both marks by catching four passes for 87 yards and a score in Sunday's 27-6 win over the Houston Texans, despite playing limited snaps after missing the previous game with a knee injury.
Gronkowski also became just the third player to record five seasons with double-digit touchdowns within his first six years in the NFL, joining Hall of Famers Bob Hayes and Randy Moss, per ESPN Stats & Info.

A.J. Brown Deal Not 'Firm'
Already considered one of the greatest tight ends in league history, Gronkowski has consistently produced numbers that compare to those of top wide receivers.
Staying healthy has been the real issue, as he was unable to reach 1,000 yards in 2012 and 2013, playing just 11 and seven games in those seasons, respectively.
Of course, even if he continues to miss some games throughout his career, Gronkowski could make a run at the all-time tight end records of 1,325 catches, 15,127 receiving yards and 111 receiving touchdowns, all of which are currently held by Tony Gonzalez.
The first two may be difficult, but with 64 touchdown catches already to his name, Gronk is well on his way to passing Gonzalez in the latter category.
