Chelsea Players Take Time Off from EPL Struggles to Visit Children in Hospital
Chelsea's much-criticised stars put aside their difficulties on the pitch to visit poorly children at a hospital in London on Wednesday.
Players including Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois and Gary Cahill made the trip after training at Cobham in the morning, bringing gifts and signing autographs for the children at Westminster Hospital.
"The visit is something we do every year and it’s brilliant to see the smiles on the faces of the children when we arrive, especially with it being so close to Christmas," Cahill told chelseafc.com (via the Daily Mail).

Many of the children will remain in hospital for Christmas, making the trip all the more important for Cahill and his team-mates:
"Having a child in hospital means it’s obviously a really tough time for the families as well, so if we can help give them a little lift it makes a difference. The children all seemed really happy to see us and one boy even gave us all a little present, which was a very nice touch and really meant a lot. It’s always a day the players look forward to every year.
"
Great to see.
