By the time Reigns snapped and unleashed his fury on The League of Nations and COO Triple H, the Internet was rife with opinionated posts from the most ardent fans and respected analysts.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
What was said about the biggest stars, most memorable moments and greatest matches from the final PPV extravaganza of 2015?
Keep scrolling and find out.
A Show-Stealing Opener, Salida del Sol and a New Day (Yes It Is)
WWE wasted little time kicking the show off with a bang, as The New Day hit the ring and cut another of its fantastically over-the-top promos prior to its defense of the tag titles in a ladder match. WWE's official Twitter account captured a brief snippet of the promo before all hell broke lose and bodies began flying all over the place.
"#TheNewDay is ready to climb the ladder of success, with no masks needed! #WWETLC https://t.co/oNvrKwGGCe
— WWE (@WWE) December 14, 2015"
A match full of impressive, if not incredibly choreographed, high spots was defined by one major bump in particular. Midway through the bout, Kalisto delivered a jaw-dropping Salida del Sol to one of the Usos from the top of a ladder.
Twitter exploded as loudly as the fans in Boston erupted.
"Holy $#!+ #WWETLC https://t.co/dPHUjtkAIR
— Will Spillane (@2xUEss) December 14, 2015"
The New Day successfully retained its titles, though, in a finish that was not quite as popular with industry insider Wade Keller as it may have been with others.
Regardless of one's opinions of the conclusion, the match was universally praised as a stellar way to kick off the show. And rightfully so.
"The rest of tonight's matches are going to be tough following this. #WWETLC

Twitter Does Not Like That a Man Was Not Lit on Fire
The Tables match pitting The Dudley Boyz, Tommy Dreamer and Rhyno against The Wyatt Family was the closest thing to an old-school, hardcore match WWE presented Sunday night, complete with cheese graters and table spots galore.
It was Bubba Ray Dudley's unsuccessful bid to light a table on fire and drive one of his opponents through it that really touched a nerve with the WWE Universe and Twitter faithful.
Only in wrestling is it possible for fans to be astonished and disappointed by the lack of human beings being set ablaze under such barbaric circumstances.
WWE superfan Ellis "Shocked Undertaker Guy" Mbeh summed up a rare Wyatt Family victory perfectly.
Too Much Flair and a Clear (Nonsensical) Heel Turn for Charlotte
Beyond the fact that Paige was suddenly working as a babyface while Charlotte was the clear heel in Sunday's Divas Championship match, the biggest newsworthy aspect of the bout was the overabundance of Ric Flair, who stole the spotlight from the competitors.
Bleacher Report's own Ryan Dilbert and James Moffat both took WWE to task for allowing Flair to take the focus off of the competitors.
The sudden shift in character for the two performers did come under fire, particularly from Bleacher Report's Mike Chiari, who questioned the positioning of Paige as a babyface after her despicable comments about the Divas champion's deceased brother.
If it was not clear that Charlotte is being directed away from Paige and more into a traditional heel role, and a rivalry with Becky Lynch, it was in a post-match vignette captured by WWE's official account.
Congratulations, Dean Ambrose
One listen to the reaction he receives when he steps through the curtain suggests Dean Ambrose is one of the most, if not the most, popular Superstars in WWE. There is a connection he has with fans that cannot be replicated.
Sunday night, moments after pinning Kevin Owens to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship, social media erupted with tweets of congratulations to The Lunatic Fringe, both from fans and peers alike.
Real-life girlfriend and on-screen personality Renee Young even chimed in on the outcome of the bout.
"Awwwwwwwzzzz yeah!!! Baddest Intercontinental champ @TheDeanAmbrose!!! Looks good in white
— Renee Young (@ReneeYoungWWE) December 14, 2015"
Will Pruett even recalled Ambrose's desire to win the title dating all the way back to the Raw after Royal Rumble earlier this year, applauding the long-term storytelling involved.
All in all, Ambrose's victory was the feel-good moment of the show.
The Most Physical TLC Match Ever?
From the opening bell, it became clear Reigns and Sheamus would attempt to overcome a somewhat snarky, hostile crowd with a brutal and violent Tables, Ladders & Chairs match that overshadowed shoddy pre-match booking.
They may have fallen prey to a vocal crowd, but it was not for lack of beating the ever-loving hell out of each other for the entertaining of those disapproving fans.
Mixed martial artist Shayna Baszler commended the willingness of the competitors to put their bodies on the line, as did Fighting Spirit Magazine and even the Hardcore Legend himself, Mick Foley.
WWE's official account captured some of the nasty bumps and spills taken by the workers.
Passionate Fans or Entitled Fans?
One of the hottest topics of the night was the response the Superstars in the main event were greeted with. Chants of "we want Cena," "we miss Rollins" and "let's go Patriots" rained down on WWE champion Sheamus and challenger Reigns as they tried to win the fans over with a stellar wrestling match.
Bleacher Report's Big Nasty took the audience to task for its disrespect of the performers.
And Sycho Sid spoke of the brutal "bootcamp" Reigns has been put through this year.
"Reigns has gone through boot camp in the last year. Fans hatred has been brutal. #WWETLC
— SID VICIOUS (@SychoVicious) December 14, 2015"
Noted analyst Justin LaBar echoed their sentiments.
On a night where the Superstars went above and beyond to deliver a quality main event, a Match of the Year candidate even, a plethora of spoiled and even entitled fans ignorantly tried to steal attention.
And yours truly had something to say about it.
Roman Reigns Comes of Age
There comes a moment in every great Superstar's career where the light bulb goes on and he is finally accepted by fans as the next big thing. While the follow-up booking of Reigns will dictate how over he eventually becomes, WWE Creative finally did him right with the post-match beatdown of The League of Nations and Triple H.
And Twitter applauded every second of it.
Dilbert praised WWE Creative's decision to unleash Reigns, to let him be the unhinged star he should have been from day one.
WrestleZone.com touted the awesomeness of Reigns pummeling Triple H while throwing a suitable joke in as well.
The great Jim Ross observed a huge step in the right direction for wrestling's top babyface.
And yours truly compared Reigns' night to the moment in ECW history when fans finally accepted Dreamer as the "Innovator of Violence" after years of criticisms and hatred.
Overall Thoughts
The TLC pay-per-view was a show WWE Creative desperately needed in order to turn around the direction of the product. It needed a blow-away show to really win back support as it heads into the Royal Rumble and, more importantly, WrestleMania.
For the first time in months, there was an energy surrounding the show that suggests viewers enjoyed themselves.
Chiari reacted favorably to the booking of Reigns.
And Sid continued his live tweet experience, admitting the broadcast had exceeded expectations.
"I came into #WWETLC with low expectations. Walked away pleased. Good job and hard work from everyone tonight. Giving it 8 out of 10.
— SID VICIOUS (@SychoVicious) December 14, 2015"
At a time when there was not much to be excited about regarding WWE programming, the Superstars and Divas of the company broke through the monotony and supplied fans with a fantastic show from top to bottom.
