Twitter Reacts as Liverpool Leave It Late to Rescue Point Against West Brom
There was a dramatic finish at Anfield on Sunday, as a late, deflected Divock Origi strike rescued Liverpool a point at home to West Bromwich Albion.
The day started with Liverpool welcoming back players from both sides:
"Henderson gets a biggish one on his return. Coutinho a bigger one. Not sure anyone cares yet. Very quiet so far! Needs a fast start.

While a Liverpool old boy was cheering on:

Summer signing Christian Benteke was struggling for the Reds:
"Benteke just controlled the ball & immediately lost possession on halfway line - resulting in a 10-second bollocking from Klopp.

Before captain Jordan Henderson marked his return with the opening goal:
"Henderson scores on his comeback, great run into the box and sweeps home after a Lallana knock down

The lead didn't last for long, though, as a Simon Mignolet error allowed Craig Dawson to level:

It's fair to say the internet was not impressed by the Liverpool goalkeeper:

Soon after, the visitors thought they were ahead, only for a Jonas Olsson goal to be ruled out for offside:
"Olsson goal disallowed.
— James Pearce (@JamesPearceEcho) December 13, 2015"
"Pulis fuming. Unless every attacker being offside now cancels each other out so that they’re all *onside*, disallow the right call. HT, 1-1.
— Karl Matchett (@karlmatchett) December 13, 2015"
"Which of the four offside WBA players were they debating about there?
— David Easson (@DavidEasson) December 13, 2015"
After the break, the home support roared into life following recent criticism from manager Jurgen Klopp:
"The Kop doing its best to inspire #LFC here. They've responded to Klopp's call for a 'special' atmosphere.
— James Pearce (@JamesPearceEcho) December 13, 2015"
"Very decent atmosphere at times today. #LFC
— Vince (@vincetalksfooty) December 13, 2015"
"Big noise from the Kop, urging Liverpool on...
— 101 Great Goals (@101greatgoals) December 13, 2015"
It didn't appear to work, however, as West Brom took a shock lead:

"Any chance we can play all our games the second half of the season? #LFC

Things then went from bad to worse for Liverpool, as Dejan Lovren was stretchered off with a nasty-looking injury:
"That's an awful tackle from Gardner. No idea how the ref's not sent him off.
— Jack (@JackWatson_) December 13, 2015"
"Awful for Lovren. No idea how that was not a straight red.
— Cristian Nyari (@Cnyari) December 13, 2015"
But deep into the eight minutes of added time, Liverpool found an equaliser: substitute Origi's long-range strike took a huge deflection on it's way into the net:
"Benteke was buffering the whole match meanwhile Origi just comes on and scores.
— ✨ (@HeyyItsNosh) December 13, 2015"
"Origi is SO much better than Benteke.
— Jack Lusby (@jacklusby_) December 13, 2015"
The fortunate nature of the goal didn't faze the manager one bit:
"KLOPP is going mad hahaha. Down the sidelines winding everyone in the crowd up!
— Karl Matchett (@karlmatchett) December 13, 2015"
"I love Klopp. He must be so pissed at the performance today, but he's still urging the crowd on and madly celebrating that equalizer. #LFC
— Vince (@vincetalksfooty) December 13, 2015"
While another former player tweeted his delight:
"Get in!!! Yes!!!! Love it!!! Go on the Reds!!!
— John Arne Riise (@JARiiseOfficial) December 13, 2015"
It finished 2-2, with Klopp leading his players on a surprisingly jubilant celebration at the final whistle:
"No better way to celebrate a 2-2 draw against West Brom than this. pic.twitter.com/kmzEs7fcaX
