Daily Fantasy Hockey 2015: Best DFS NHL DraftKings Daily Values for December 12
It's clear by now that no fantasy player can fill out their lineup with superstars and hope to win.
It's simply impossible. If you go for the big names at every position, you will be out of cash before you get to your defensemen.
It's about finding value at every spot on the board and perhaps landing one or two superstars to fill out your lineup.

Centers: Evgeny Kuznetsov, Washington Capitals ($5,900) and Tomas Plekanec, Montreal Canadiens ($5,700)
Evgeny Kuznetsov is one of the big reasons why the Washington Capitals are competing for the top record in the Eastern Conference this season. While he will never get the headlines or the interviews Alex Ovechkin gets with the Capitals, head coach Barry Trotz counts on Kuzentsov for consistent play in all three zones and the jump to take advantage of opportunities in the offensive zone.
Kuznetsov has produced at a point-per-game pace this season with eight goals and 19 assists. He has nine points in his last 10 games, and look for him to score at least one goal as the Caps travel to face the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday night.
Tomas Plekanec is smart, quick and often in the right place in the offensive zone go cause havoc. He has been a big part of the reason the Montreal Canadiens got off to a flying start, and head coach Michel Therrien is counting on him to help the Habs end their four-game losing streak.
Plekanec has scored seven goals and 19 assists this season, and he is a big part of the Montreal power play with nine man-advantage points. Look for him to get on the board against the Ottawa Senators.

Wings: Tyler Toffoli, Los Angeles Kings ($5,800), Brad Marchand, Boston Bruins ($5,800) and Joel Ward, San Jose Sharks ($4,700)
Tyler Toffoli has turned into one of the Los Angeles Kings' top goal scorers as he has a gift when he is in between the circles. Toffoli can get rid of the puck quickly, and he excels at tipping shots and jumping on rebounds. Toffoli has scored 11 goals and nine assists so far this term, and he has scored four of his goals with the man advantage. The Kings have a favorable matchup against the Buffalo Sabres on Saturday night.
Brad Marchand has elevated his game quite a bit with the Boston Bruins. In addition to scoring key goals and agitating opponents, Marchand has taken on a leadership role in the Boston locker room, and he has become an even more valuable player for head coach Claude Julien. Marchand has scored 13 goals and seven assists, and he has been especially hot with seven goals in his last 10 games. He figures to get on the board at home against the Florida Panthers.

Joel Ward has been a key player for the San Jose Sharks in his first season on the West Coast. Ward is a tough and gutsy player who will go to the dirty areas to create scoring opportunities. He has already scored 10 goals and 12 assists this season, and he has connected on 20.8 percent of his shots. Look for him to assert himself at home against the Minnesota Wild.

Defensemen: Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Arizona Coyotes ($5,300) and Dougie Hamilton, Calgary Flames ($4,600)
Oliver Ekman-Larsson is one of the best puck movers in the league, and as a result he has the ability to jump-start the Arizona Coyotes offense. Ekman-Larsson is an excellent skater who can go end-to-end quickly, and he has potted six goals and 12 assists to this point in the season. Ekman-Larsson also has recorded 47 hits and 21 blocked shots. He should be quite productive against the Carolina Hurricanes.
Dougie Hamilton has not lit it up since he started donning a Calgary Flames uniform in the summer. Hamilton got off to a slow start and did not look comfortable in the Calgary system, but he appears to be turning things around and has been joining the Calgary attack regularly. Hamilton has only scored three goals and six assists to this point in the season, but his opportunities are coming much more frequently. The Flames are streaking at home, and we expect Hamilton to be a difference-maker against the New York Rangers on Saturday night.

Goalie: Karri Ramo, Calgary Flames ($6,900)
A couple of weeks ago, we would never have gone with a goalie who was facing the Rangers. However, the Broadway Blueshirts have cooled considerably and are on a Western road swing. Meanwhile, the Flames have won their last eight home games and are finishing off a five-game homestand.
Ramo has a 6-2-1 record in his last nine games with a 2.51 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage over that span. Ramo will allow two goals or less, and the Flames will win.
