Wyatt Family vs. ECW Originals: Winner, Reaction from WWE TLC 2015

The Wyatt Family beat the ECW Originals at their own game Sunday night as they defeated The Dudley Boyz and Co. in an elimination tables match at WWE Tables, Ladders & Chairs.

WWE Universe captured a photo of the finish:

Bubba Ray had just put lighter fluid on a table and looked to be preparing to light it on fire before he was taken out, as WWE Universe showed:

After falling to The Undertaker and Kane at Survivor Series, Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan decided to wreak havoc on Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley. They did so at first, but it didn't take long for the Dudleys to call for backup.

The Dudley Boyz brought in a pair of former ECW champions in the form of Tommy Dreamer and Rhino, and they made it clear that they were prepared to turn back the clock on the Wyatts:

While they took their lumps leading up to Sunday's match, the Dudleys were able to turn the tide in their favor by getting the Wyatt Family to agree to a tables stipulation.

Many of the biggest names in the business have taken a 3D through a table, courtesy of Bubba Ray and D-Von, and they set out to do the same to each and every Wyatt Family member with help from their extreme brothers.

The Wyatts entered TLC with little momentum on their side. In addition to the ECW Originals getting the better of them on a couple of occasions, they had struggled in big matches at recent pay-per-views.

Prior to falling to The Undertaker and Kane, Wyatt lost to Roman Reigns in a singles Hell in a Cell match at the Oct. 25 pay-per-view.

Bad booking has plagued the Wyatts for much of their existence, but they finally managed to get back on track Sunday with a win over four established veterans within a hardcore environment.

Nobody was expecting a technical masterpiece between the eight Superstars who competed Sunday night, but they delivered an entertaining brawl that fit the motif the TLC pay-per-view aims to provide.

It seems likely that Dreamer and Rhino have finished up their run with WWE, but they served their purpose by putting over a young stable that desperately needed a victory on a big stage.

The Dudleys will hang around, on the other hand. As perhaps the most decorated tag team in the history of professional wrestling, one loss doesn't do much to damage their credibility.

Sunday's match was all about turning things around for the Wyatt Family and preparing for whatever big angle WWE has planned for WrestleMania season.

The creative team still has to prove it can make the Wyatts look like a legitimate threat, but Sunday's result was undoubtedly a step in a positive direction.
