Floyd Mayweather Responds to Chrissy Teigen's Criticism of His Pet Tiger

In case you missed it, Floyd Mayweather Jr. owns a pet tiger.

While your reaction to this news might range from "why?" to "of course he does" and back to "why?" again, John Legend's wife Chrissy Teigen has quite a distinctive take on the matter.

Well, never one to walk away from a debate, the boxer has responded to Teigen's criticism in an interview with FightHype.com (h/t TMZ).

After insisting that "we're trying to help save tigers" and vowing to be a responsible tiger owner (whatever that entails), Mayweather took aim at the model.

"John Legend's wife said something?" he said, before ignoring Teigen's ability to think independently of her husband. "I've never had anything negative to say about John Legend. I really don't even know what his wife does. 

"I've never seen John Legend's wife in my life. And if I did I probably just don't remember it."

Mayweather's next interview on the topic of responsible pet ownership has yet to be scheduled.
