Latest on Harris' Playing Status

Harris told reporters he is "likely out" against the New York Knicks.
Harris' Injury Will Impact Mavs' Depth at Guard Positionsย
The 32-year-old, who is averaging 7.7 points per game this seasonโthe fewest since his 2004-05 rookie seasonโscored seven points in nine minutes Sunday prior to the injury.
Harris, a point guard who can play the 2, was a starter early in his career but has come off the bench in all 20 of his games this season. He provides veteran leadership as a backup on the team.
If he is out for an extended period of time, it could be a big blow for the Mavericks. Entering Sunday's game, his 22 minutes per game were the most for any nonstarter on the Mavericks.
The Mavericks are fairly deep at the point guard position, with Deron Williams and Raymond Felton on the roster, but they don't have much depth at shooting guard after starter Wesley Matthews.
