Chelsea Transfer News: Latest on Antoine Griezmann and Charly Musonda Rumours
Atletico Madrid hitman Antoine Griezmann is a top-priority signing for Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho this winter, but the Blues are at risk of losing youngster Charly Musonda to one of their Premier League rivals.
A report from Steve Stammers of the Mirror indicated Griezmann is Chelsea's "No. 1 target" ahead of the January transfer window, with the west London giants desperate to boost their attack.

Mourinho's need for January improvements was highlighted by Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to top-flight new boys Bournemouth, leaving Chelsea just three points off the Premier League relegation zone.
According to Stammers, there's an "uneasy relationship" between Mourinho and striker Diego Costa, a 2014 recruit from Atletico who has bagged just three Premier League goals this season.
It's been a nightmarish four months at Stamford Bridge, and major moves may be made in the winter market to try to salvage a top-half finish.
Meanwhile, Atleti are soaring and David Cartlidge of beIN Sports was full of praise for Griezmann after he netted in a 2-0 defeat of Granada on Saturday to take Los Rojiblancos within two points of La Liga leaders Barcelona:
It's for that reason a midseason switch is extremely difficult to envision. It appears unlikely that Chelsea will be playing Champions League football next season, while Diego Simeone's side are competing for titles right now.
Costa scored 21 goals in all competitions last season and his aggressive style worked to good effect while he was producing goals, but the Liverpool Echo's Kristian Walsh noted it's not quite as enamouring these days:
Griezmann may be reluctant to join the Blues' cause given their current trajectory—even if a potential wage boost proves tempting.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Manchester City are circling around the services of Chelsea starlet Musonda, following reports the Blues youngster could be tempted to leave Stamford Bridge.
That's according to the Mirror's Simon Mullock, who recently reported the 19-year-old has grown disillusioned with the lack of first-team chances on offer in England's capital.
The Belgian Football Association's official YouTube channel recently shared some of Musonda's best finishes for the under-21 international team:
Musonda recently changed his agent to Aidy Ward, per HLN (h/t Tom Coast of Sport Witness). He is the same agent who organised Raheem Sterling's move from Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium:
Mullock mentions Musonda is valued at around £10 million after impressing in the Blues' youth ranks, but neither United nor City are understood to be put off by that figure.
The attacking midfielder-cum-winger has one goal and three assists in eight games for Chelsea's reserves this season, but the west Londoners' loss could be the gain of their rivals should the player fail to see any improvement soon.
