Twitter Reacts as Chelsea Lose 1-0 at Home to Bournemouth in Premier League

Chelsea's battle to get their season back on track shows no sign of ending after the Blues suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to newly promoted Bournemouth.

The Internet—as has been the case for much of the season—didn't miss the opportunity to have a laugh at Chelsea's expense, with the Blues down in 14th place.

Chelsea really shouldn't despair. Statistics show that 62% of all teams who were 14th at Xmas have gone on to finish 12th. #VintageSeason

Some, however, had more constructive suggestions for how Chelsea lift themselves out of trouble:

"

If Mourinho doesn't make some big calls, he'll lose his job. I'd gamble on dropping the prima donnas and playing some kids... #CFC

And worse might be to come. Who would have thought at the start of the season that when Chelsea made the trip to Leicester in the middle of December, they'd actually be 17 points behind the league-leading Foxes?
