Liverpool Transfer News: Neven Subotic Wants Jurgen Klopp Reunion, Top Rumours
Neven Subotic could be the first Borussia Dortmund player to join Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool revolution following reports he hopes to reunite with his former boss. Plus, the Reds raise their interest in Barnet starlet Daniel Cheema.
German newspaper Bild reported this week that Subotic has grown disillusioned with his chances under Klopp's replacement, Thomas Tuchel, after playing just twice this season (h/t Daily Star's Luke Gardener).

It's indicated Subotic is "lacking any motivation" to remain in his current setting, and a winter switch to Merseyside could provide the new adventure he needs to reinvigorate his career.
Bundesliga expert Raphael Honigstein recently told BT Sport Subotic looks among the most likely figures to join Klopp's cause at Liverpool after being "picked" by the manager from Mainz, per Adam Skinner of the Daily Express:
"His former CEO and chairman at Dortmund said Klopp wouldn’t target any of his players. There is probably a deal to be made with Subotic, who has been out of favour. He is one of the few players who was personally picked by Klopp for Dortmund when he was at Mainz. Most of the players were bought by the club rather than him.
"
The emergence of Matthias Ginter has relegated the Serbia international to fourth in the centre-back pecking order at Signal Iduna Park, behind Mats Hummels and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.
Liverpool have established a first-choice pairing of Mamadou Sakho and Martin Skrtel in central defence, while Dejan Lovren is also competing for a spot alongside Kolo Toure.

Toure, who turns 35 in March, may need replacing in the near future, however, with his contract at the club coming to an end next summer and Klopp looking to stamp his blueprint on the English outfit.
According to Bleacher Report's Lars Pollmann, Tuchel simply "doesn't rate Subotic," while ESPN FC's Stefan Buczko added the defender's lack of versatility could be his main obstacle to winning a place in the team:
Subotic has gone from being a key staple at the Westfalenstadion to struggling for a first-team place, having started alongside Hummels for much of the back-to-back Bundesliga title wins in 2011 and 2012.
Injury setbacks have limited his development—most notably a cruciate ligament injury in late 2013—but Klopp could find a target in the 26-year-old should he look to add defensive options this winter.

Liverpool are also reported to be one of several Premier League outfits assessing the talents of Barnet youngster Cheema after his impressive start to this season.
That's according to the Daily Star's Rhys Turrell, who said Everton and West Ham United are also interested in the 16-year-old, who is yet to make his first-team debut for the Bees.
The Sun's Tom Barclay recently reported Cheema is training with the senior ranks after netting 16 goals for the under-18s.
A former England futsal captain, Cheema is already making an impression on the older age groups, and the Premier League titans are queuing up to get a glimpse of one of the Football League's brightest emerging talents.
