Twitter Reacts as Aaron Rodgers Throws Game-Winning Hail Mary TD to Beat Lions

Scott PolacekDec 3, 2015

The Detroit Lions learned the hard way Thursday that an Aaron Rodgers-led team is never out of it until the clock reads 0:00. Even that may not be enough if there is a final play after the clock runs out.

The Green Bay Packers pulled off a miraculous 27-23 win in Detroit when Rodgers found tight end Richard Rodgers on the final snap of the game on a Hail Mary pass for a 61-yard touchdown. The play was only possible because Detroit picked up a facemask penalty on the play before, which led to one untimed down.

Patrick Daugherty of Rotoworld piled on:

Breer said we shouldn’t be surprised by any endings involving the Browns or Lions:

Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News summarized things perfectly:

Somehow, the Lions found a new way to lose in what looks like yet another lost season.
