Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Youri Tielemans and Neymar Rumours
Serie A champions Juventus are reportedly pursuing Anderlecht wonderkid Youri Tielemans—but they fear they will be beaten to him by Manchester United.
According to Italian outlet Tuttosport (h/t Metro's Sean Kearns), United "pose the biggest threat" to the Bianconeri's ambitions of landing the 18-year-old as boss Louis van Gaal seeks a long-term replacement for Michael Carrick, "with both clubs known to be interested" in him.
Indeed, the Red Devils would be wise to snap up the central midfielder before one of Europe's other elite clubs inevitably does so.

The youngster is one of the rising stars of European football thanks to his impressive distribution and outstanding composure on the ball. Football writer Yousef Teclab eloquently ran the rule over his passing:
"@MessiSeconds That guy has the passing abilities equivalent to a painting of a Rembrandt: a thing of beauty and excellence.

Tielemans, who also has an eye for goal, uses his abilities to great effect and finished last season with eight goals and six assists to his name in all competitions, which he has thus far followed up with four and one respectively, per Transfermarkt.
The Belgian even has European experience under his belt, having made the first of his 17 Champions League and Europa League appearances at just 16 years old, per Opta Franz:
Football journalist Rafael Hernandez believes Tielemans would be worth a high price in the transfer market:
Here is a further look at some of the qualities he could bring to United's midfield:
With Carrick now 34, the club are wise to seek out a player to fill his considerable boots, and Tielemans is one of the most impressive candidates available to them.
Whoever lands the youngster will have won a real coup, so United should pursue him at the earliest opportunity to ensure they're the ones who do so.
One player who may not be heading to Old Trafford any time soon is Barcelona star Neymar, after he admitted he hopes to maintain a long-term place in Barca's attacking front three along with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
The forward has frequently been linked with a move to United, per Spanish football expert Guillem Balague (h/t Luke Gardener of the Daily Star).
Per Richard Arrowsmith of the MailOnline, he said: "[The] secret of MSN? Friendship and modesty. Leo and Luis are great friends, I hope to play with them for a long time, there are no egos."
The Brazilian has firmly placed himself in the conversation for the best players in the world after some truly stunning performances this season. Squawka Football shared his incredible La Liga stats:
United, and any team, would improve significantly in their attacking play if they could land the 23-year-old. However, Neymar has the world at his feet at Barcelona and isn't likely to give up his immensely successful partnership with Suarez and Messi any time soon.
