Manchester United Transfer News: Latest on Youri Tielemans and Neymar Rumours

Serie A champions Juventus are reportedly pursuing Anderlecht wonderkid Youri Tielemans—but they fear they will be beaten to him by Manchester United.  

According to Italian outlet Tuttosport (h/t Metro's Sean Kearns), United "pose the biggest threat" to the Bianconeri's ambitions of landing the 18-year-old as boss Louis van Gaal seeks a long-term replacement for Michael Carrick, "with both clubs known to be interested" in him.

Indeed, the Red Devils would be wise to snap up the central midfielder before one of Europe's other elite clubs inevitably does so.

With Carrick now 34, the club are wise to seek out a player to fill his considerable boots, and Tielemans is one of the most impressive candidates available to them.

Whoever lands the youngster will have won a real coup, so United should pursue him at the earliest opportunity to ensure they're the ones who do so.

One player who may not be heading to Old Trafford any time soon is Barcelona star Neymar, after he admitted he hopes to maintain a long-term place in Barca's attacking front three along with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
