Week 4 College Football Odds First Glance
BetVega.com takes a quick look at the week 4 college football betting schedule and picks out some games that caught our attention early in the week. Lets watch the line movement as the week goes on and see if our comments end up being on the money:
- Illinois @ Ohio State -14.5: Illinois has been off for 2 weeks and was viewed by many as potential surprise team in the Big 10. Giving Juice Williams and the Illini 14.5 points seems like a lot, but with Ron Zook on the side line who knows which Illinois team will show up.
- Ohio @ Tennessee -21: Look out here Vols fans….Ohio is a solid MAC team who could put a scare into Tennessee who is beat up after their battle with the Gators.
- Fresno State @ Cincinnati -15.5: This line opened up at 14 and has quickly jumped up. Tough task here for Fresno as 2 weeks ago they traveled to Wisconsin, came back home to battle Boise State and now go back east for an early kick off.
- Arizona State @ Georgia -12.5: Georgia’s defense is awful! ASU has some serious revenge here after the Bulldogs gave them a 27-10 whopping last season.
- Washington @ Stanford -7: Wow, this line surprised me. I guess the oddsmakers feel that if Matt Barkley played last week USC would have romped the Huskies. 15 years of betting on football tells me that Stanford may be the play here.
- Miami @ VA Tech +2.5: Has anyone else noticed everyone jumping on the Miami bandwagon? Time for a bump in the road…..you don’t just walk in to Blacksburg and beat VA Tech two years in row.
- Iowa @ Penn State -10: This a huge revenge game for PSU as Iowa ruined their chance for an undefeated season last November with a 24-23 win. Does 10 points seem like a much here? PSU is 0-3 ATS this season, so they are due for a cover.
