Russell Wilson Reportedly Concerning Seahawks, Becoming More of a 'Celebrity QB'
Apparently, two straight trips to the Super Bowl are not enough to buy the benefit of the doubt for even one season.
Evan Silva of Rotoworld passed along a report from ESPN’s Chris Mortensen that said “there is some concern at Seahawks headquarters that Russell Wilson ‘changed his approach’ this year and is becoming more of a ‘celebrity quarterback.’”
Part of the reason for concern is undoubtedly the fact that the Seahawks are 4-5 on the season and have not lived up to expectations.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Wilson has been in the spotlight beyond his play on the field in 2015 because of his relationship with the singer Ciara and the fact that he signed a four-year, $87.6 million extension this offseason.
Interestingly, Ryan Glasspiegel of the Big Lead noted last season that Mortensen reported the Seahawks asked Wilson to limit some of his exposure in advertisements and endorsement deals because it was potentially leading to envy directed toward the quarterback in the locker room.
While Seattle has not looked like a Super Bowl contender this year, Wilson had 2,118 passing yards, 355 rushing yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions coming into Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Seahawks started slow in 2014 as well (3-3) and managed to bounce back with a strong finish and Super Bowl berth. The team is still within striking distance of a wild-card spot in the NFC this season if it can string together a few wins, especially with the Atlanta Falcons losing four of their last five games.
