WWE Rumors: Buzz on Road to WWE Survivor Series 2015 for Week of Nov. 20

Aaron BowerNov 20, 2015

As expected, most of the talk amongst WWE fans this week is about the upcoming Survivor Series pay-per-view and what might happen with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

It will be in the hands of a new man come Sunday night, but plans seem to be changing all the time regarding who the title will go to and how it will be won.

That, and plenty of other WWE gossip, makes up this week's instalment of rumors from the world of WWE.

More Heat on Lana Backstage?

Lana is currently away from WWE TV at the moment, but anyone who follows her on Twitter will have noticed a fiery debate with her and Paige on the social media site. What's more, this doesn't seem to be kayfabe; it seems to be genuinely real.

Lana actually accused Paige of bullying her in NXT, but Paige was defended by a couple of people, most notably current Diva Summer Rae and NXT's former creative assistant Rob Naylor.

Why this took place on social media is anyone's guess, but it seems she's now getting even more heat backstage. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestlingInc) report that sources have indicated to the Observer that this has really caused some upset backstage in the company.

What makes things worse for Lana is that the feeling backstage for her wasn't even that great before this incident. As is noted in the article, since her engagement to Rusev became public, the angle with her, Summer Rae, Dolph Ziggler and Rusev was quickly nixed.

It'll be interesting to see what happens next with Lana's relationship with WWE.

The Rock and WrestleMania 32

More now from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestlingInc), who provide an update on The Rock's status for next year's WrestleMania show.

It's noted that those who were hoping to see The Rock wrestle would have been disappointed, as WWE still possesses problems with clearing him to wrestle due to an insurance company that "had issues with covering him for a movie if he wrestled a match, due to the obvious risk of injury."

But now, this latest report throws even more doubt on The Rock even showing up in a non-wrestling role. According to the report, The Rock has a movie filming during WrestleMania weekend, throwing his availability up in the air.

This would be a major setback for a company that is set to be without some major names, as it stands right now.

They need The Rock there, as it would give the whole thing a real shot in the arm. Even if it's not as a wrestler, his appearance will be vital for the promotion of the show.

The Destination of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

Where will the title go on Sunday? Alberto Del Rio and Kevin Owens currently sit as outsiders, with Dean Ambrose lodged in the middle of the reckoning and Roman Reigns the overwhelming favorite.

Or is he?

PWInsider Elite (h/t WrestlingInc) brings information about the destination of the title at Survivor Series, noting that the initial plans were to have Reigns as the champion heading into WrestleMania season next year. At first, the injury to Seth Rollins did nothing to change those plans.

But the article notes that in the past few days, talk has been growing in WWE Creative for Ambrose to be the next champion, a move that perhaps gives more questions than answers.

If Ambrose does win the title, does he have to turn heel to do it? Who does he fight next? And will he remain as a babyface for the long term?

Regardless of those questions, a Dean Ambrose run with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship would be unmissable, at least if his feud with Rollins for the title earlier this year is anything to go by.

Survivor Series on Sunday is going to be very much a show where literally anything could happen with the title.
