Charlotte vs. Paige: Winner and Reaction from WWE Survivor Series 2015

In perhaps her biggest title defense to date, Divas champion Charlotte defeated Paige on Sunday night at Survivor Series and exacted some revenge in the process.

Charlotte ended Nikki Bella's record-breaking Divas Championship reign at Night of Champions with Paige and Becky Lynch by her side. It wasn't long after that, however, that dissension caused Team PCB to crumble.

Following Charlotte's title win, Paige quickly grew jealous, which led to her insulting both of her supposed friends.

Although Paige pretended to make an effort to smooth things over in the following weeks, she ultimately snapped and attacked Charlotte and Becky, which marked the official dissolution of Team PCB just a few months after its formation.

After turning on Charlotte and Becky once and for all, the British Diva made it clear her sole focus was on capturing the Divas Championship for the third time:

She took a big step toward that by defeating Becky, Sasha Banks and Brie Bella in a Fatal 4-Way match on Raw, thus making her the No. 1 contender for Charlotte's title.

Paige often took shots at the former NXT Women's champion and claimed she only reached the top of WWE in such a short amount of time because her father is 16-time world champion Ric Flair.

While Charlotte has never run away from her pedigree, she wanted Paige to know her success had nothing to do with her last name, according to WWE Universe on Twitter:

Divas Championship matches in general have become far more important since the influx of female talent from NXT hit the WWE main roster during the summer, but Sunday's bout was even bigger due to the personal nature of the feud between Charlotte and Paige.

Both women are undoubtedly a huge part of the Divas division's WWE future, and they offered a glimpse of how great it has the potential to be with a highly entertaining match at Survivor Series.

Charlotte managed to keep her reign alive by picking up the victory over Paige; it seems likely that the best is yet to come for the Divas Championship.

In addition to the possibility of Charlotte and Paige continuing their rivalry, the likes of Becky and Sasha are waiting in the wings and deserve a shot at the strap in the near future as well.

The Divas division is brimming with talent more so than it has in years, and while the storytelling hasn't been ideal to this point, the pieces are in place for some special angles and matches moving forward.
