Floyd Mayweather Slammed by Adrien Broner in Video over TMT, Al Haymon Comments
WBA super-lightweight champion Adrien Broner has spectacularly hit back at Floyd Mayweather after the retired pound-for-pound king questioned his latest title win.
Pretty Boy recently responded angrily (Warning: Link contains profanity) to Broner's criticism of Mayweather's entourage and brand—The Money Team—hinting his fellow American should not be proud of his October win against Khabib Allakhverdiev as it came off the back of his defeat to Shawn Porter and was for a vacant WBA belt.
In a 10-minute YouTube clip (Warning: Link contains profanity), Broner questioned Mayweather's assertion that to disrespect The Money Team is to disrespect promoter Al Haymon, and he said that he had learned to take the easy fights from Money himself. In the rant, Broner called on Mayweather to phone him so they could talk things through.
Per Edward Chaykovsky of Boxing Scene, he then went on to slam Mayweather for publicly criticising him:
"What you did was no player s--t that you did. That was no live s--t. That was some lame f--k boy s--t. You went on the internet and sent out a message talking about someone that you put on record as your little brother, somebody that you said you love and cared for and wanted to look after him, and then you try to diss him to the public. That ain't no cool s--t.
Don't get me wrong, I could have said that b------t that I said in a different way. But we spoke about this before you even put that s--t out, you knew I wasn't talking about you. I would never disrespect you. Because when it comes to boxing, you're amazing. There might not be another Floyd Mayweather. But at the end of the day, as a person, you're f----d up. You falling out with some of the realest n----s you got around you. At the end of the day, all I wanted from you is to teach me to do what you did or surpass what you did. That all I wanted. I just wanted to learn from you. All that other s--t is weak...
What the f--k was that weak ass message for, Floyd. I just feel that you're way bigger than that. Why would you make a message to little Adrien Broner man. Am I that important to you Floyd? You told me to grow up, n---a you got some f-----g growing up to do and you're older than me
"
It is clear that relations are no longer good between Broner and the man he once considered to be his mentor.
Though never officially part of TMT, Broner has often referred to Mayweather as "big brother," per Sky Sports, but they are far from a happy family at the moment.

Britain's Ashley Theophane—promoted by Mayweather—has been pencilled in as Broner's next opponent.
The 26-year-old angered TMT further in the wake of his victory over Allakhverdiev in Ohio as he called out Theophane, promising to wipe the floor with the 35-year-old by way of a very crass Caitlyn Jenner joke, per Complex Sports' Chris Yuscavage.
Broner has immense talent, but his defeats to Marcos Maidana—back in 2013 to lose his WBA welterweight title—and Porter are major blots on his record.
He talks a big game, but he needs to defend his latest title against a string of top opponents if he is to prove himself as a worthy champion.
His latest comments are likely to anger Mayweather even further, and the war of words between Broner and TMT is likely to run and run.
