Landry Jones, Antonio Brown's Fantasy Outlook After Ben Roethlisberger's Injury
The Pittsburgh Steelers' injury-riddled 2015 campaign continued Sunday, as Ben Roethlisberger left in the fourth quarter of their 38-35 win over the Oakland Raiders with a left foot injury. Team spokesperson Burt Lauten tweeted Roethlisberger was leaving Heinz Field to undergo an evaluation.
Landry Jones took over at quarterback. The Oklahoma product threw for 79 yards and led the Steelers to a game-winning field goal.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Roethlisberger, 33, missed four games earlier this season because of a knee injury. Jones and Michael Vick split the duties while Big Ben was out, with neither inspiring all that much confidence. Jones was solid in place of an injured Vick in an Oct. 18 win over the Arizona Cardinals but struggled in his lone start against the Chiefs, tossing two interceptions in a 23-13 loss.
From a fantasy perspective, Jones is basically useless outside of two-quarterback leagues. Far more reliable options are available on the waiver wire. Jay Cutler, Marcus Mariota and Joe Flacco are each available in more than half of ESPN.com leagues. If Derek Carr and Tyrod Taylor are available—which is a possibility in over 40 percent of leagues—then they're leaps and bounds ahead of Jones.

In fact, the biggest effect Jones has is probably lowering the value of Steelers pass-catchers. Antonio Brown had a mixed bag with Jones under center, posting his worst game of 2015 against Arizona before a solid 124-yard game against Kansas City. Brown is the best receiver in football when Roethlisberger is under center, as evidenced by the 284 yards he put up Sunday.
However, adjusting expectations is a must if Roethlisberger is forced to miss time again. Brown and Jones do not have the same level of rapport, and the Steelers simply aren't going to throw as much with Big Ben on the shelf. As always, though, fingers will be crossed until we know the final word on Roethlisberger's status.
