NFL Scores Week 9: Top Fantasy Stars, Results and Latest Team Stats
There were quite a few players who made this whole quarterback thing look remarkably easy on Sunday in Week 9. Seven QBs passed for at least 300 yards in Sunday's early games, with three of them throwing for more than 360.
This doesn't even include the likes of Tom Brady, who threw for 299 yards, or Cam Newton, who picked up 297 yards through the air.
With so many big-time performances, and two games going into overtime early on Sunday, there were plenty of fantasy points to go around in Week 9.
Here are the Week 9 results—top fantasy stars from each game and key team stats. Top fantasy players are based on ESPN.com's fantasy football leaderboard, with precedence given to wide receivers, tight ends and running backs over quarterbacks when the fantasy point totals are close.

Top Stars from Early-Sunday Slate
Cam Newton, Carolina

Cam Newton came into Week 9 fighting off memes that said his stats were only marginally better than the pine-riding Colin Kaepernick, so he promptly went out and beat down the Green Bay Packers with his best statistical performance of the season.
Newton passed for 297 yards and three touchdowns with one pick, which came late in the fourth quarter and nearly let Green Bay tie the game.
He added another 57 yards and a score on the ground to round out a brilliant afternoon. Bleacher Report's Ty Schalter made a quip regarding Newton carrying the team with his legs in the first quarter:
"“Wait a minute, Cam Newton can run?!” *frantically riffles through notes* —Dom Capers
— Ty Schalter (@tyschalter) November 8, 2015"
How ready was Newton to beat down Green Bay? He started off the afternoon tearing down enemy signage before the game, per NFL Network's Jeff Darlington:
Although he still struggles with accuracy at times, Newton has made up for it with an ability to hit the deep ball, seemingly find tight end Greg Olsen at will and keep defenses on their toes with his scrambling ability. It's a great time to be a Panthers fan. He's a legitimate MVP candidate, even if his stats aren't quite as eye-popping as some of the league's other top quarterbacks.
Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay

Speaking of top quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers bounced back from a horrid performance in Week 8 against the Denver Broncos with a massive, clutch display versus Carolina. After Newton dominated the first half of play, Rodgers got his team back into the game with a superlative second half and finished with 369 passing yards and four touchdowns.
Here he is making one of his patented running throws—the kind that few, if any, other quarterbacks can pull off (via the NFL):
His one interception came in the red zone on the drive following Newton's gaffe. It ended a desperation drive and with that, the Packers' chances of winning the game.
Still, that pick is of little importance for fantasy players, as it was a minor blip in a monster statistical game. The 369 passing yards are by far the most Rodgers has tossed in a single game this season, and in fact it's only his second 300-yard game of the season.
The 37-29 loss drops the Packers to 6-2, and they are now level with Minnesota in the NFC North. The Packers will have a fight to the end with the Vikings for the division crown. Expect to see plenty more big games from Rodgers this season.
DeAngelo Williams and Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh

No Steelers fan is going to forget about Le'Veon Bell, but DeAngelo Williams' excellent performance on Sunday will go a long way toward alleviating the anxiety and frustration of his season-ending knee injury.
After spending several weeks pacing the sidelines with Bell healthy, Williams didn't skip a beat in his return to the starting lineup.
He racked up 225 all-purpose yards and two scores, propelling Pittsburgh to a much-needed win over a resurgent Oakland Raiders squad. Coach Mike Tomlin professed his faith in the veteran tailback earlier in the week, and Williams certainly played up to his coach's expectations.

"We’re going to rally around DeAngelo Williams. This is not his first rodeo, either professionally or with us,” said Tomlin on Tuesday (via Steelers.com's Bob Labriola). “He did a great job for us over the first couple of weeks of the season when Le’Veon was out, and we’ll get back to him being the featured guy in our backfield and supplementing the other guys around him."
The 32-year-old back is well past the age at which most running backs break down and lose their effectiveness. However, he spent much of his career sharing carries with Jonathan Stewart in Carolina, so he hasn't accumulated quite as much punishment as most backs going on their 10th season.
Working in a Pittsburgh attack replete with talented players capable of spreading out opposing defenses, Williams should continue to have great success as the Steelers' lead back.

Antonio Brown is one such player wreaking havoc on the league. He racked up a monstrous 284 receiving yards. His 17 receptions set a single-game franchise record.
Former NFL wideout Donte Stallworth didn't equivocate in his assessment of Brown:
Outside of a three-game lull from Weeks 5 through 7, one that coincided with Ben Roethlisberger's absence from the lineup, Brown has been as brilliant as ever this season. He's a top-flight possession receiver capable of turning the ordinary stick or out route into a huge game with his ability to make plays after the game.
Fantasy owners might see another dip in Brown's performance if Roethlisberger's late injury on Sunday proves to be serious. The veteran QB picked up a foot injury in the game and was considered questionable to return, per the team's official Twitter account. Landry Jones took over in that contest. He's nowhere near the QB Roethlisberger is, but this doesn't mean Brown should disappear from fantasy starting lineups.
Delanie Walker, TE, Tennessee

Delanie Walker benefited the most from quarterback Marcus Mariota's return to the Titans lineup. After racking up a respectable 13 catches and 107 yards in two games with Zach Mettenberger, Walker broke out with seven catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns. One of those scores was quite possibly the wackiest play of the day, as two Saints collided and tipped the ball to Walker, who waltzed in for a score.
Here's a look at Walker's big play (via the NFL):
The two touchdowns were his first scores since Week 1 against Tampa Bay, something that might propel Walker back into many fantasy teams' starting lineups. Tennessee QBs have been looking his way fairly consistently this year. Walker has had at least six targets in five of his seven games.
He's still a bit of a risky play in what is usually a poor Titans offense, but with Mariota healthy and still learning the NFL ropes, the athletic tight end should see plenty of action on short and intermediate routes.
