Paige, Becky Lynch and the WWE Diva Power Rankings for the Week of November 4

Erik BeastonNov 4, 2015

It has been quite the week for the WWE Divas.

First, the culprits behind the sneak attack that left Natalya prone in a heap weeks earlier were finally revealed, and few could have imagined who it would be.

Then, the top contender for the Divas Championship would be revealed in a phenomenal Fatal 4-Way match.

And in between, Divas moved up and down the rankings, the product of monumental wins and complete disappearances from television.

Last week, Divas champion Charlotte rode a wave of momentum to the top spot on the lineup. Would she be able to retain that spot, despite not appearing on both Raw and SmackDown?

Would heel Paige be able to earn the top spot for the first time, and which Divas would use strong performances in this week's in-ring action to make a giant leap from the bottom of the rankings?

The answers to your questions lie just beyond the "next" button to your right.

10. Alexa Bliss

1 of 10

Last Week: 7

A lack of television time coupled with upward mobility by several main roster Divas results in Alexa Bliss tumbling in this week's rankings, dropping from No. 10 to No. 7.

Still, Bliss' position in these rankings should be secure, especially considering her status as the top contender to Bayley's NXT Women's Championship.

A young performer with a strong heel presence and flashy move set, she has completely overshadowed her charges, Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake.

Not unlike a young former fitness model named Trish Stratus did some 15 years ago.

She has a long way to go before she achieves the Hall of Fame accolades that the great Stratus has, but the career projection thus far is eerily similar to that of the Toronto native.

Strong performances against Bayley will only help expedite the learning curve, leaving her to serve as the centerpiece of women's wrestling in NXT, its most hated villainess.

9. Asuka

2 of 10

Last Week: 6

Asuka, like Bliss, slipped significantly in these rankings due to her lack of television time. Unlike Bliss, though, she does not have the luxury of leaning on the No. 1 contender's status to help prop herself up and remain in these rankings.

With her main rival, Emma, scoring a big win on the October 28 episode of NXT, and Nia Jax wasting little time making an impression on the fanbase, Asuka needs to remain a factor on television in order to keep her spot in the top 10.

Even if it is something as simple as character development in a pre-taped vignette.

The most dynamic worker to enter NXT on the women's side of things, Asuka should be the women's champion in short order. Until then, she will need to be built up and have any momentum she garners carry over from show to show.

8. Brie Bella

3 of 10

Last Week: 9

Brie Bella jumps up a spot on this week's list, thanks to a strong performance in the Fatal 4-Way No. 1 contender's match, won by Paige on Raw.

The sister who had taken a backseat to Nikki over the last year, Brie now has the opportunity to reestablish herself in the wake of the former Divas champion's hiatus.

Brie may not be the worker her sister is, but when performing alongside a capable wrestler, she has demonstrated an ability to deliver a quality match.

With an opening for her to showcase her abilities and perhaps learn from her peers, Brie has the opportunity to become a force in the Divas Revolution.

7. Becky Lynch

4 of 10

Last Week: 10

Becky Lynch has been the most underutilized talent in WWE in the second half of 2015, and Monday night, the writing staff set out to change that, giving her promo time to get across the wackiness and zaniness of her character while simultaneously putting over her on-going issues with Paige.

From there, she was a clear star in the No. 1 contender's match and may even have managed to win that match were it not for a very attentive Sasha Banks.

Lynch lost the match, pinned by Paige following the Ram-Paige, but for the first time, it looked like the company would finally do something with her that transcended being Charlotte's emotionless, devoid-of-character backup.

If that is not enough to help her jump up three spots and firmly establish her spot in these rankings, nothing will be.

6. Nikki Bella

5 of 10

Last Week: 3

Nikki Bella takes a big tumble this week, thanks to the hiatus she has taken from television.

After picking up a big tag team victory on last Monday's Raw, she disappeared from the company with no real explanation.

As fans found out this week, courtesy of F4WOnline.com (h/t WrestlingInc.com), the former Divas champion is suffering from both a neck injury and a nagging hip problem that will keep her sidelined for the foreseeable future.

Ultimately, that means she will fall out of the rankings, perhaps as early as next week. But when she finally does return, expect to see the Fearless Diva work her way right back into relevance and the top five.

5. Natalya

6 of 10

Last Week: 6

After weeks spent selling the sneak attack that left her sprawled out in the locker room area, Natalya returned to the ring on the October 29 episode of Raw, battling Paige in singles competition.

And the Queen of Harts very well may have scored the win over her second-generation opponent had it not been for the arrival of Team BAD. With Sasha Banks essentially revealing that it was that trio that left Nattie lying, a brand new rivalry ignited, giving both critically acclaimed workers something interesting to do.

While Natalya was ultimately defeated by Paige, she is now in the thick of the Divas Revolution, at least on the SmackDown side of things, where she seems to get much more television time than she does on Mondays.

4. Sasha Banks

7 of 10

Last Week: 5

The Boss may have fallen one spot this week, but if there is a silver lining to be had, it is that she once again stood out on Raw, working a tremendous Fatal 4-Way match against Becky Lynch, Paige and Brie Bella.

Clearly the best wrestler in the match, she was partly responsible for the rash of "this is awesome" chants that accompanied the bout.

If that was not enough, she led Team BAD to the ring on SmackDown, revealing that they had assaulted Natalya.

With an impending rivalry with Nattie on the horizon, Banks will have plenty of opportunity to prove why she has been one of the best wrestlers in the world here in 2015, regardless of her gender.

Even if she should be working in matches where the Divas Championship is up for grabs, her legacy strengthened even more with a wealth of high-profile title bouts under her belt.

3. Bayley

8 of 10

Last Week: 2

Bayley continues to drop down the rankings, conspicuous by her absence on NXT.

While Divas such as Asuka, Emma, Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss earn more television time and expand their ring work, Bayley has been forced to sit on the sidelines and watch. Luckily, she is still very much one of the faces of NXT and a legitimate star on a roster full of potential.

As long as she can continue to deliver the level of performance that she has to this point, she will remain high on this list.

At least until others on the brand knock her off or main roster Divas bully her out of the top half of the rankings.

2. Charlotte

9 of 10

Last Week: 1

Much like Bayley on NXT, Charlotte's absence from television on SmackDown and Raw has resulted in her departure from the top spot.

Charlotte is the current Divas champion and suddenly finds herself poised for a showdown with Paige over the title. A very talented, incredibly athletic worker, there is no denying what she is capable of between the ropes. Charlotte's biggest detriment is her lack of character development.

To this point, no one knows what to make of her other than the fact that she is Ric Flair's daughter. That does nothing to help her get over to the point that fans respect her. No win will do it, either. She desperately needs to form that all-important connection with the audience or risk becoming a much more bland version of John Cena, just on the female side of things.

None of that will affect her status in these rankings, especially if she keeps winning. It will, however, affect how much fans are willing to put up with in terms of a major push.

1. Paige

10 of 10

Last Week: 4

After a definitive heel turn on last week's Raw, Paige followed up by not only exorcising the demon from her past in the form on Natalya on a special Halloween edition of SmackDown, but she also captured the No. 1 contender's spot on Raw with a fantastic performance in a Fatal 4-Way match.

Easily the most well-rounded performer this side of Sasha Banks, Paige certainly deserves an opportunity to show that. While she has been busy working the lesser-talented WWE-produced Divas, she is a skilled worker who earned her way to the main roster thanks to fantastic performances in NXT.

Having worked with Charlotte in the past has certainly helped lay the foundation for what could be a very good match at Survivor Series, when the two generational Divas battle for the top women's prize in WWE.

For now, Paige can rest peacefully knowing her hard work and creative renaissance has led her to the top spot in the Divas Power Rankings for the first time.
