A.J. Is Hit or Miss. You Know That Already

Burnett has been hit or miss for a very long time now. You don’t know exactly what you will get from him. It’s a cause for concern, but you don’t need to over analyze it. He can either be dominant or horrible. Let’s just hope that he has his good stuff when he takes the hill in the postseason.

People are crying that  he sucks and everything, but you didn’t hear any of that when he was pitching really well.

With the uncertainty of how Burnett will pitch in the playoffs, the Yankees should slot Pettitte into the #2 slot in the ALDS. That way, after Sabathia pitches we can have a stabilizing force from a guy who knows the postseason as well as anybody out there. Let’s just say that they dropped Game #1. Wouldn’t everyone be panicking if Burnett was about to start the next game? He would have enormous pressure on himself. He can either become a bum in the playoffs or a hero. The thing is…one great game from him will allow all Yankees fans to forgive him for his inconsistency.
