WWE Survivor Series 2015: Titles Most Likely to Change Hands at Event

Aaron BowerNov 3, 2015

With a traditional Survivor Series match or two expected for the upcoming pay-per-view, it's quite difficult to predict what titles will be on the line.

There may be instances of reigning champions getting involved in those headline matches, meaning their own title feuds are put on ice for a few weeks.

But not every champion will be getting caught up elsewhere, and of the titles that are on the line, expect a couple to change hands.

Divas Championship

It may be a tad harsh to take the Divas Championship from Charlotte before her reign has even got going, but it may just be the best thing for the division right now.

Paige emerged triumphant in the battle to determine Charlotte's challenger at Survivor Series, with the two former Team PCB members going at it with the big prize on the line.

Is it too soon for Paige to end Charlotte's reign? Perhaps, but the former Divas champion has really established herself as the most impressive of all the contenders around right now.

Sasha Banks' time will come, but this is Paige's chance to shine. Her heel turn can be a real success if WWE invest some time and trust into her, and that could come with winning the Divas Championship at Survivor Series.

If Banks, Becky Lynch, Paige and Charlotte are all realistic title contenders, expect the belt to get passed around more than in previous years. That could start at Survivor Series.

WWE Tag Team Championships

It seemed locked in that The New Day were set for a major run as tag champions, but the events that transpired this past Monday on Raw could change all that.

The return of The Usos gives the division a major shot in the arm, and they will likely come back in and be pushed straight to the head of the queue as main rivals of The New Day.

They wouldn't have been thrown into the main event on Raw otherwise, and the fact they were present rather than The Dudley Boyz in that match tells you all you need to know about plans for Survivor Series.

Jimmy and Jey showed on Raw they're still one of WWE's best tag teams of the past decade, and they could come straight back into competition together and earn another reign as tag champions.

What should be guaranteed is that with Jimmy, Jey and Kofi Kingston all exciting, lively competitors, we're in for an entertaining few weeks of action.

Throw Big E's brute force into the mix, and you've got the ingredients of a great rivalry that could result in a few title changes between now and the end of the year. Much like the Divas Championship, that could all begin at Survivor Series.

The Other Titles

In terms of WWE's other three major titles, it's difficult to imagine those switching hands at Survivor Series.

Kevin Owens doesn't really have any clarity over a potential opponent, so you'd imagine it would be difficult to build up a serious rivalry in the space of a few weeks, which could see him drop his title.

Alberto Del Rio has only just won the United States Championship, and with John Cena away from WWE TV at the moment, the best prospect for WWE could be to wait until he returns to set up the rematch later in the year.

And Roman Reigns taking on Seth Rollins? It would be strange for WWE to not try to drag this feud out, especially with Reigns starting to slowly cement himself as a top babyface.

Reigns vs. Rollins could play out right through to the Royal Rumble, so there's little chance of Rollins losing his world title at Survivor Series.
