Aston Villa Promote Hashtag Welcoming Remi Garde and Misspell Frenchman's Name

Aston Villa's woes extend beyond the football field.

The Premier League strugglers find themselves at the bottom of the table after 10 games, and their social media team has failed to spell the name of their new boss right.

Frenchman Remi Garde was named the new chief at Villa Park on Monday evening, replacing Tim Sherwood after he was sacked last week.

To celebrate, Villa's official website promoted the hashtag #WelcomeRemy, and the misspelling of the former Lyon boss' first name did not escape the notice of those on Twitter.

Admittedly, it could just be a clever ploy to make news of Garde's appointment go viral.
