Bryant Active vs. Bengals

Saturday, Jan. 9

The team announced Bryant was available to play Saturday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Latest on Bryant's Practice Status

Wednesday, Jan. 6

Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported Bryant was limited in Wednesday's session.

Bryant Vital to Steelers' Downfield Passing Attack

Bryant had already missed time in 2015, serving a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy to start the season, and he has also fought injuries in his quest to get back on the field.

Ross Jones of Fox Sports reported Bryant injured his knee in practice prior to Week 5, which caused him to sit out against San Diego.

Bryant has been fantastic since returning in Week 6, once again providing big plays with 15.6 yards per reception heading into Week 17. His ability on one side of the field nicely complements Antonio Brown's do-it-all skills on the other side.

The Steelers are fortunate to have Brown and a breakout performer in Markus Wheaton, who is turning into a terrific big-play threat of his own.

Bryant's natural speed from the outside allows opposing defenses to focus more attention on Brown, forcing Wheaton to play a more prominent role and making the Steelers offense more versatile.
