Oladipo's Absence Weakened Orlando on the Wing
The shooting guard was remarkably durable as a rookie, appearing in 80 games throughout the 2013-14 season. The former Indiana Hoosier proceeded to appear in a solid 72 games during his second pro campaign, but a facial fracture delayed his debut.
Oladipo is averaging 14.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.6 steals this season.
In addition to posting some solid scoring numbers, he has cemented his status as Orlando's most imposing perimeter defender.
"He can be an All-Defensive Team-type player on that side of the ball," head coach Scott Skiles said, per Robbins. "And I was going to say, 'If he wants to,' but I don't even need to finish the sentence about it. He's a very eager defender. He's a really good learner, and he's got a lot of enthusiasm for the game."
