Marshawn Lynch's Mom, Delisa, Defends Criticism Made About Seahawks Play-Calling
Delisa Lynch, mother of Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, isn't about to apologize for having strong opinions about the finish of Super Bowl XLIX.
In a statement from her Twitter account, Lynch admitted Facebook "may not have been the best platform" for her rant against Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, but she's a devoted follower of the team and will always remain critical of the coaching staff when such criticism is necessary:

This comes after she called for Bevell's firing and labeled him the "worst play-caller ever" following Seattle's overtime defeat to the St. Louis Rams in Week 1, per ESPN.com's Sheil Kapadia. The Seahawks failed to convert on a critical 4th-and-1 in overtime after handing the ball off to Marshawn Lynch.
Bevell brushed aside the issue and didn't take the comments personally, while head coach Pete Carroll was similarly dismissive.
"I haven't seen the actual comments, but mom looking after her kid," Carroll said, per Kapadia. "There ain't nothing wrong with that."
It's up for debate whether Delisa Lynch's critique of Bevell was warranted, but what she had to say wasn't any different from the thoughts of countless Seahawks fans following the Super Bowl. The nature of that finish won't fade from the fanbase's memory anytime soon.
The fact Bevell and Carroll both moved on in relatively short order has helped quash what could've been a bigger problem early in the Seahawks' 2015 campaign.
