2009 NFL: Drunken Gator's Power Rankings after Week One
Well, the NFL season started out with a bang and I am here to give you my power rankings for the first time this year. These rankings are compiled using offensive and defensive stats, which will give a team points depending on its individual rank in each category.
A team will also get a bonus for a win and a deduction for a loss.
Here are my rankings:

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
1. Baltimore Ravens (1-0), 489 Points
This is the easiest of selections through Week One. The Ravens are the No. 2 team in total offense as well as No. 3 in total defense. With a 38-24 win over Kansas City, the Ravens are proving they are a team to watch.
Next Week @ San Diego
2. New York Jets (1-0), 422 Points
The surprise team of the week, the Jets, won 24-7 against the Houston Texans. Who would have thought a team with a rookie QB and coach would be this good? I know it's only one week, but the Jets are No. 4 in offense and No. 2 in defense.
Next Week vs. No. 8 New England
3. New Orleans Saints (1-0), 393 Points
Drew Brees lit up the scoreboard as the Saints beat the Detroit Lions, 45-27. The Saints have the league's No. 1 offense and the No. 7 defense. If the defense keeps playing this well, look out for the Saints.
Next Week @ No. 4 Philadelphia
4. Philadelphia Eagles (1-0), 313 Points
At what cost did the Eagles destroy the Carolina Panthers last week? With McNabb hurt, the Eagles signed veteran QB Jeff Garcia to back up Kevin Kolb. McNabb might play, but how effective will he be? The Eagles are No. 23 on offense, but No. 1 on defense.
Next week vs. No. 3 New Orleans
5. Seattle Seahawks (1-0), 243 Points
The Seahawks beat the St. Louis Rams, 28-0, last week. They are the No. 6 offense and the No. 8 defense. Julius Jones had a great running game for the Seahawks.
Next week @ San Francisco
6. Dallas Cowboys (1-0), 218 points
7. Indianapolis Colts (1-0), 217 points
8. New England Patriots (1-0), 167 points
9. Minnesota Vikings (1-0), 154 points
10. Arizona Cardinals (0-1), 126 points
11. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0), 108 points
12. Atlanta Falcons (1-0), 87 points
I know there is going to be some uproar about Arizona. They have the No. 4 defense in the league and No. 18 offense, while Pittsburgh has the No. 20 defense and No. 10 offense. Atlanta has the No. 9 defense and No. 18 offense.
These rankings will change a lot with next week's games.
