Dembele Comments on Status

Tuesday, Sept. 1

"Happy," Dembele tweeted, "No major injuries, hope to be back for our next Spurs game!"

The Belgian attacking midfielder went down under no contact after attempting a low pull-back cross from inside the box. Going down without a touch is often a sign of a serious injury, and Dembele is fortunate to have avoided doing serious damage to his leg.

Dembele is no stranger to serious injury woes. He hasn't always found his top form at White Hart Lane, but at his best, the 28-year-old offers drive, creativity and a fierce shot from the middle of the park.

Even though there are high hopes for youngsters such as teenage ace Dele Alli and Ryan Mason, losing Dembele for any length of time would be a blow for Spurs.
