Januzaj Substituted During First Half of U21 Clash
Monday, Feb. 8
As reported by Goal's Harry Sherlock, the Belgium international suffered what seemed to be a hamstring injury during the first half of the clash against the Canaries, and while he tried to play through it, he was eventually taken off.
Januzaj is still trying to earn a regular spot in the United lineup. While he's shown flashes of potential that suggest he can become an effective attacking force, especially in terms of distribution, his consistency is still lacking.
His time on loan with Borussia Dortmund didn't yield any results, and since his return to Old Trafford, the 21-year-old has barely featured. Injuries obviously aren't going to help his cause.
It's yet another setback for Januzaj, who is likely hoping to earn his way into manager Louis van Gaal's squad during the second half of the 2015-16 campaign.
Though the future remains bright for Januzaj, he must continue to elevate his form and prove himself on a weekly basis. Injuries are often part of the game, but they still don't help a player in his position.
