Sting Returns to Challenge Seth Rollins
One night after retaining the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and winning the United States Championship against John Cena at SummerSlam thanks to help from Jon Stewart, Seth Rollins was set to celebrate with the Authority on Raw. When his statue was set to be revealed, though, Sting was under the curtain. He subsequently attacked Rollins and was granted a world title match at Night of Champions.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is This the Proper Way to Use Sting?
There was a great deal of speculation regarding Sting potentially returning at SummerSlam, either to wrestle or interfere in a match, but that never came to fruition. Instead, the Vigilante appeared on WWE programming on Raw for the first time since the show after WrestleMania 31. Sting lost to Triple H at WrestleMania, but it is clear his goal of taking down the Authority is still very much intact.
The 56-year-old Stinger has just one WWE match to his credit, but he will presumably main event Night of Champions with a chance to become WWE world heavyweight champion for the first time in his illustrious career.
If the Icon manages to defeat the former architect of the Shield, then he will become the second-oldest world champion in WWE history behind Vince McMahon, although it remains unclear exactly what direction the creative team is looking to take.
Ring Rust Radio's Take
There is undoubtedly a certain amount of intrigue surrounding a feud between Sting and Rollins given the former helped Dolph Ziggler defeat the latter in an elimination match at Survivor Series last year.
They have history with one another, and that could make for a solid storyline. At the same time, WWE has seemingly booked itself into a corner once again. On one hand, Sting's credibility would be damaged even further if he begins his WWE career 0-2. On the other, the poorly booked Rollins will look terrible if he loses to a Superstar who is closer to 60 than he is 50.
Because of the issues that could arise from the result of Rollins versus Sting, getting Sting involved with the Undertaker and Brock Lesnar likely would have been a better idea. The ending of the Taker-Lesnar match has been roundly criticized by fans because of its confusing nature and the fact a timekeeper wouldn't realistically go rogue.
Having Sting take issue with the Undertaker's tactics and interfere on behalf of Lesnar would have made for a far more satisfying ending, and it could have set the stage for the WrestleMania match most want to see between Sting and the Phenom. That bout could still happen, but WWE risks damaging the Vigilante before it does.

Dudley Boyz Return to Raw After 10 Years Away
It can certainly be argued SummerSlam didn't live up to its advanced billing, but WWE did its best to make up for that notion on the ensuing Raw. Proof positive of that was the shocking return of the Dudley Boyz to the company as a group for the first time in a decade. Bubba Ray and D-Von decimated the New Day and made it clear they are targeting the Tag Team Championships.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Do the Dudleys Legitimize the Tag Division?
Tag team wrestling has undoubtedly been on the back burner for quite some time in WWE, which is disappointing to many hardcore fans. The trio of Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods has emerged recently, but they haven't had much competition. That changed in a hurry Monday, and there is suddenly a great deal of intrigue in the division.
Not only should New Day versus the Dudley Boyz be a highly entertaining feud, but Bubba Ray and D-Von also have an opportunity to help elevate other teams such as the Prime Time Players, the Lucha Dragons and whomever else they go up against.
The Dudleys are the most decorated tag team in WWE history, and they may very well be the greatest team to ever grace the professional wrestling business, as they are nine-time WWE tag team champions, eight-time ECW tag team champions, three-time TNA tag champs, two-time IWGP tag titleholders and one-time WCW tag team titlists.
Ring Rust Radio's Take
Bubba Ray and D-Von are 44 and 43 years of age respectively, but they are both in excellent shape and coming off successful singles runs in TNA. Their individual stocks have never been higher, and their return to WWE comes at a perfect time. The tag team division desperately needs an anchor, and the Dudley Boyz can serve in that role. New Day may very well be the future of tag team wrestling in WWE, but they can't reach their true potential without great opponents.
The Dudleys bring a great deal of credibility and star power to WWE, evidenced by the incredible pop they received on Raw. Giving them the Tag Team Championships in the near future certainly won't feel like a charity case since they can still go in the ring, and their act is as over with the WWE Universe as it ever has been.
Once teams such as the Usos and Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore get added to the mix, WWE's tag team division will suddenly have even more depth. Also, since the Dudleys haven't worked with any of the teams on the current roster, fans are essentially guaranteed to see something new, fresh and exciting whenever they hit the ring.

RRR Interview with WWE's Natalya
WWE's Divas revolution is in full swing, but even before the company placed increased emphasis on women's wrestling, Natalya was considered one of the best in the business. Nattie is still among the best female wrestlers in the world today, and she recently sat down with Ring Rust Radio to discuss the rise of WWE's Divas, as well as her aspirations moving forward.
Question on Everybody's Mind: What's Next for Nattie?
Natalya was essentially born to be in the wrestling business. She is the first third-generation female wrestler as the daughter of Jim the Anvil Neidhart and granddaughter of renowned wrestler and trainer Stu Hart. She was signed by WWE back in 2007 and is a one-time Divas champion.
Although Nattie hasn't been included in the Divas revolution angle yet, she is very proud of those who are carrying it currently. With that said, she is also excited to get back in the ring on a regular basis and make a run at the Divas title:
"It's really cool to see Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch getting this opportunity, and of course I would love to be a part of it. In some ways, I want to give them a big hug after their matches and tell them how proud I am of what they did, but at the same time, I want to be a part of it too. We will see what happens, but I understand that timing is everything. Like they say, sometimes they save the best for last.
I want to try and go for the Divas Championship again. If you are in the women's division and you're not trying to be the Divas champion, then what are you doing in the Divas division? You should always want to be the best and believe in yourself. WWE is all about empowering yourself and reaching your dreams.
"
While there isn't a spot for Nattie in the Divas storyline right now, and she is currently busy with outside endeavors, such as working with Friskies cat food and ensuring her husband, Tyson Kidd, recovers quickly from his neck injury, it seems only a matter of time before she is front and center once again.
Ring Rust Radio's Take
The current landscape of the Divas division features three teams of three in Team Bella, Team PCB and Team B.A.D. All of them bring something unique to the table, and Nattie had great things to say about the Bella Twins, Sasha, Naomi and Becky in particular. She also offered some suggestions as to whom she would like to team with if she is tasked with creating a stable of her own.
"If I could create my own team, I would definitely include [new NXT Women's champion] Bayley in that team. For the third member, I am not sure, but I have been scouting Emma for a while. Emma, Bayley and I have always been underdogs and we are always ready to prove ourselves. I have also been—crazy enough as it is—I have been impressed with Dana Brooke. She reminds me of a young Beth Phoenix.
"
Bayley, Emma and Dana Brooke are probably the top three Divas in the NXT pecking order currently, so it would certainly be interesting to see a veteran of Natalya's caliber take two of them under her wing.
Whether Nattie is teaming with others or working alone, she is one of the best all-around talents the WWE Divas division has to offer. She and Charlotte arguably kick-started the Divas revolution when they faced each other at NXT TakeOver last year, and there is no question the Queen of Harts deserves her chance to shine again.
