Why The Yankees Need To Sit-Down And Shut Up
Are the Yankees trying to make post season?
Obviously.
It would only make sense NOT to jeopardize their chances in any sort of way?

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Obviously.
Did Posada act accordingly?
Obviously.
As I watched tonight's game against the Toronto Blue Jays it was same old Roy Halladay not at his normal best but still enough to win.
Luckily, Halladay had some help. With Pettitte needing an extra rest, Toronto was thrilled that Sergio Mitre did his usual. Mitre let the Blue Jays bat away, away and away. A far cry from the ray of hope, proving his last start deems lucky.
So Toronto held a cushy 9-2 lead in the eighth when Toronto reliever, Jesse Carlson hurled a ball, very intently at Posada’s back. A pitch obviously not meant for the plate or a strike. It was a response to the Blue Jays who had been hit earlier in the game.
Posada reacted like he should have, pissed off. Still he went back to finish his at bat and walked.
Minutes later as Posada crossed home plate scoring a run, Carlson was waiting right in his path.
Carlson was in a spot was it is textbook that the pitcher be behind home plate. Jorge grazed him with his elbow, just as Carlson seemed to want.
Words turned angry immediately. The clash among the two was barely apparent as both benches cleared so fast, Yanks lead by out skipper Joe Giardi who got clocked in the side of his head.
Understandably, Joe other then wanting the fight to break up was also probably willing to sacrifice himself instead of a player getting injured.
No injuries occurred but suspensions are inevitable. Posada and Carlson were ejected but Carlson remained in the dugout hiding. It is a breech of textbook MLB rules and Carlson remained there with this stunned expression. Maybe the gash on his head gave him amnesia.
Officials will dissect this incident tonight. Anyone in the pile, which included Tex, Damon, Joba, CC to name a few who even pushed or came in closed fists will get in trouble.
For Carlson and the Blue Jays who really cares. The team’s season is over. A team once owned the AL East for a large part of the first half of the season. Probably still shocked to be 27 games behind so unfair, right?
The Yankees need to clinch a spot in the post season. This incident cannot happen again, no matter what.
Toronto is not the Red Sox or the Angels. Having something like the playoffs and possibly a championship in reach cannot be compromised. Looked, getting taunted Posada had every right but it jeopardizes the whole team.
Let’s hope Toronto can play like gentleman tomorrow night but the Yankees need to assume the opposite.
Prepare for the worst, but hope for the best. The Yanks have to be the bigger team.
And just to add the Red Sox beat the Angels. Dice-k is back. He looked real good but so did Big Papi, who had a massive blast. The Red Sox are getting their life back.
Nothing is in cement yet. And keep this going into tomorrow’s game and risk injuries or a suspension is just plain stupidity.
Five games in the loss column from the Red Sox gives room for trouble.
New York has a consistent baseball team that falls apart already, no need for two.
