New Jonathan Taylor Trade Rumors Reveal 'Serious Suitor' amid Giants, Vikings, Broncos Links

The trade market for Indianapolis Colts star running back Jonathan Taylor is taking shape as Tuesday's deadline draws closer.

According to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer, the New York Giants are a "serious suitor" for Taylor despite not currently offering a package that the Colts are looking for.

Per Breer, the Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings "might be a little less inclined to trade for Taylor now" after previously discussing swaps with Indianapolis.

The Colts sit at just 2-6 this season and have already started to part ways with multiple key contributors on their roster, trading guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 27 before sending defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers.

Taylor also appears to be available, as ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport previously reported that Indianapolis was "open" to trading the running back.

The Colts reportedly have a high asking price for the three-time Pro Bowler, though.

Per Breer, Indianapolis wants a first-round pick or the "equivalent" of a "Christian McCaffrey–level package" to get a deal done.

The 49ers acquired McCaffrey in exchange for a second-round pick, third-round pick, fourth-round pick and a fifth-rounder in 2022.

Taylor has amassed 610 rush yards this season, ranking No. 8 among all players. He's also found the end zone eight times while averaging 4.1 yards per carry.

The 27-year-old has been extremely productive in recent years, racking up at least 1,500 all-purpose yards and 12 total touchdowns in each of the past two seasons.

The Giants could potentially pair Taylor with Cam Skattebo in their running back room as they look to maintain their lead atop the NFC East standings with a 4-2-1 record.

The 2026 trade deadline is on Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET.
