New NFL Trade Rumors on Calvin Ridley, Titans' Asking Price After Jeffery Simmons Deal

Julia StumbaughNov 4, 2026

The Tennessee Titans are expected to look for a "quality Day 3 pick" in exchange for trading veteran wide receiver Calvin Ridley, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported Wednesday.

According to Fowler, Ridley is "considered a backup plan for a few teams in the receiver market."

Fowler noted, however, the $13 million in cash remaining on Ridley's contract "could be a hurdle" to completing a trade.

The Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Commands have been connected to a search for a wide receiver ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline.

Other receiving options could be significantly more expensive given that NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the Indianapolis Colts are seeking a third-round pick for Josh Downs.

The news comes after the Titans started selling ahead of the deadline by dealing star defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears in exchange for a package including two first-round picks.

The Titans have since fallen to 1-7 on the season with an overtime loss last Sunday to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ridley made one catch for 10 yards in the loss, continuing a pattern of low usage that has extended throughout the season.

The wideout has made just six catches for 91 yards in seven games of his third season with the Titans while receiving 13 targets and playing 53 percent of the team's offensive snaps.

Considered a candidate to be released after an injury-limited 2025 season, Ridley stuck around in Nashville after restructuring his contract ahead of the 2026 campaign.

Ridley would likely be a candidate for another restructure or cut with his next team. He is currently signed through 2027 at a $29.75 cap hit, but none of that money is guaranteed until his $2 million roster bonus due in March, per Over the Cap.

Any team targeting Ridley at the deadline would hope in the short term slotting him into a different offensive scheme could help him increase his production down the stretch of his age-32 campaign.
