Jeffery Simmons Traded to Bears from Titans, Full Details Revealed for Blockbuster NFL Deal
The Chicago Bears made a massive splash on the trade market Thursday, reportedly acquiring defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Tennessee Titans, according to The Ringer's Tom Pelissero.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Titans will acquire a 2027 first-round pick, 2028 first-round pick and 2027 fourth-round pick from the Bears in exchange for Simmons and a 2028 fifth-round pick.
Simmons to Chicago is the latest blockbuster NFL trade to go down this week after the Indianapolis Colts dealt guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday.

Jeffery Simmons Talks Trade Rumors
An anonymous NFC general manager texted NFL insider Jordan Schultz regarding the Simmons trade, saying, "Respect to the Bears for doing that. That offense with this defense now makes them a Super Bowl roster for this year and for years to come without a doubt."
The 29-year-old Simmons has been among the best defensive tackles in football for the past several seasons, securing four Pro Bowl nods in five seasons from 2021 to 2025.
Simmons is also a two-time Second Team All-Pro, and he was named a First Team All-Pro for the first time last season when he recorded a career-high 11 sacks to go along with 67 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles.
Originally selected 19th overall by the Titans in the 2019 NFL draft out of Mississippi State, Simmons has registered 414 tackles, 46.5 sacks, 72 tackles for loss and nine forced fumbles in 106 career regular-season games.
That includes 38 tackles, four sacks, six tackles for loss and one forced fumble through seven games this season.
The Bears are vying for their second consecutive NFC North title, and they currently trail the undefeated Minnesota Vikings by 1.5 games for the division lead with a 5-2 record.
Under offensive guru and head coach Ben Johnson, the Bears rank third in the NFL in total offense and eighth in scoring offense, although they would likely be even higher had quarterback Caleb Williams not missed three games due to injury.
While offense is their strength, the Bears are also eighth in total defense and ninth in scoring defense, and they rank third in the NFL against the run.
Chicago has not gotten big-time production out of its defensive tackles, though, as Kentavius Street has just one sack and Grady Jarrett has none.
Simmons should provide a massive boost to the Bears' defensive interior, and although the price to acquire him was steep, he is the type of game-wrecker and difference-maker the unit needed.
Making the move even more exciting for Bears fans is the fact that Simmons is not a rental, as he is signed through the 2030 season.
