WWE Royal Rumble 2027 Date, Location Announced for Start of Road to WrestleMania 43

The road to WrestleMania 43 will officially begin in the desert.

WWE announced on Monday that the 2027 Royal Rumble will take place on Feb. 6 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. This will mark the 40th edition of the fan-favorite event.

Feb. 6 is the latest Royal Rumble date WWE has ever scheduled, and this will be just the second time in the event's history that it is held in February. This will be Arizona's third time hosting the event, following previous editions in 2013 and 2019.

The Royal Rumble is regarded as the start of the road to WrestleMania because the male and female winners of the namesake matches go on to earn world title shots at the marquee event in April. Last year, Roman Reigns and Liv Morgan were victorious at the Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship and the Women's World Championship, respectively, at WrestleMania 42.

In addition to the Royal Rumble, WWE announced that Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale will host a double event on Friday, Feb. 5, featuring both Friday Night SmackDown and AAA Road to Rey de Reyes.

The Royal Rumble can be a star-making showcase for rising young Superstars like Oba Femi, Bron Breakker, Lash Legend and Lola Vice, so fans will be excited to see who emerges from the fray when things go down on Feb. 6.
