Cousins, Flacco, Daniel Jones Trades Pitched by NFL Insider After Lamar Jackson's Injury for Ravens
Two notable NFL insiders don't believe the Baltimore Ravens can sit idly by with franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson set to miss multiple weeks.
Following Sunday's 36-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills, coach Jesse Minter confirmed Jackson is headed for injured reserve due to a thumb injury. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley was also hurt in the defeat, forcing the team to turn to third-stringer Joe Fagnano.
The Athletic's Mike Sando asserted the Ravens "need to find a quarterback, unless they're willing to pack it in."

Colts Sticking With Daniel Jones

Breece Hall Trade Unlikely
He cast doubt on one potential option, questioning whether the Las Vegas Raiders would entertain a Kirk Cousins trade after the offseason saga surrounding Maxx Crosby.
Sando also argued Cousins' solid production (2,124 yards, 19 touchdowns and five interceptions) may not be indicative of how he'd fare elsewhere. He had already played under Raiders coach Klint Kubiak before he signed with Las Vegas.
Sando's colleague Michael Silver threw out the idea of a reunion with Joe Flacco or acquiring the Indianapolis Colts' Daniel Jones or Chicago Bears' Tyson Bagent.
The Colts continue to sink further after having already traded away Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner. Maybe they'd be willing to unload Jones' contract and start over at quarterback.
Chicago can afford to deal Bagent when it also has Case Keenum on the roster. Keenum is arguably a better backup anyway. Bagent was coached by Baltimore offensive coordinator Declan Doyle last year, which is a factor to consider.
Like Cousins, Flacco could be a nonstarter. The Cincinnati Bengals will need a lot of convincing to send him to a division rival with playoff aspirations.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Huntley "suffered what is thought to be a turf toe injury." Assuming he, like Jackson, will miss multiple games, Baltimore can't afford to move forward with Fagnano. The undrafted free agent went 10-of-21 for 91 yards and an interception against Buffalo.
The fact that Bagent and Flacco are being floated as solutions illustrates the Ravens' bind, though.
There aren't a lot of great QB options on the trade market right now and certainly not one who inspires a ton of confidence to lead a playoff push in the second half.
