The Brewers had a magical season, finishing with a franchise-record 103 wins before coasting through the postseason. They downed the San Diego Padres in five games, swept the Los Angeles Dodgers and beat the Tampa Bay Rays in five games in the World Series.
William Contreras took home the World Series MVP after hitting .381 with an .864 OPS and four RBI.
The Brewers, founded in 1969, reached the World Series in 1982, where they lost to the St. Louis Cardinals, and hadn't been back to the Fall Classic until this year. With one title under its belt, Milwaukee is set up for success for years to come and will look to add a few more in the coming years.
The question is whether the Packers can bring Milwaukee sports fans as much joy as the Brewers did this year. Green Bay has had a shaky 4-3 start to the season, losing manageable games against the Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions.
Despite a rough start, the Packers have the talent to make a deep postseason run and perhaps join the Brewers as champions.
