Green-Beckham Struggling to Meet Expectations in NFL
As a rookie, Green-Beckham's role was fairly limited, but he made the most of his snaps over the course of 16 games. All told, the 23-year-old caught 32 passes for 549 yards and four touchdowns—two of which came in his first three games.
However, the Tennessee Titans decided to cut ties with Green-Beckham in August when they shipped him to the Eagles in exchange for offensive lineman Dennis Kelly.
"It's been very public, his coach's comments about him and that he needs to get more consistent," Eagles vice president of football operations Howie Roseman said, per NFL.com's Conor Orr. "So, we're going into it with our eyes open about that. ... Incredibly talented guy, but he's got to make the most of this opportunity."
In his first season in midnight green, the wideout has accumulated 33 catches for 359 yards and two scores, as Nelson Agholor has struggled on the outside.
Until Green-Beckham is able to return to a full workload, the Eagles should continue to spread the ball around—with Agholor and speedster Bryce Treggs likely the biggest beneficiaries from a snap-count perspective.
