B/R's Week 7 PPR Fantasy Football 2026 Player Rankings

Gary DavenportOct 21, 2026

They say time flies when you're having fun. And sure enough, once the dust settles on Week 7, the fantasy football regular season will be halfway over.

Whether it has been fun or not is a matter of perspective.

Fantasy managers who drafted well and have avoided injuries are rolling along and piling up wins. For others, it has been a root canal minus the Novocain. The players who have managed to stay healthy have failed to meet expectations. The losses are stacked like firewood.

But whether you're 5-1 and partying like it's 1999 or 1-5 and drowning your sorrows, the goal this week is the same: log a victory.

We're all about making sure the trains run on time here at Bleacher Report, so we have everything you need for a Week 7 victory with position-by-position PPR rankings, player notes, start-or-sit recommendations and sleepers.

Week 7 PPR Player Rankings

Before we get things rolling for Week 7 with a handy set of sortable PPR player rankings, a few notes.

The first is the same as always. The top 123 (it's my lucky number) players overall (a list that can aid in making "flex" lineup decisions) do not contain quarterbacks. If you play in a "superflex" format where quarterbacks are flex-eligible and you have a decent second signal-caller on the roster, he belongs in a flex spot.

The second is that the bye weeks roll on this weekโ€”the Buffalo Bills, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Chargers and Washington Commanders are all off. Sorry, no Joshua Patrick Allen in Week 7.

Finally, it can be incredibly frustrating to enter a season filled with hope only to start the year 2-4 or 1-5. But don't just throw up your hands, throw in the towel and start putting up Christmas decorations. It only takes a couple of wins to turn 2-4 into .500, and there's a lot of season left.

Make some waiver adds, set your strongest lineup and channel your inner LL Cool J to knock out the competition.

WEEK 7 PLAYER RANKINGS

Quarterbacks

2 of 6
Jets Patriots Football
Patriots QB Drake Maye

Over the summer, New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye was the fourth player at his position drafted on average in fantasy leagues.

After a dreadful start to the season, Maye sat at QB34 in fantasy pointsโ€”and the folks who invested in him were freaking out.

Fast-forward three more weeks, and those fantasy managers are breathing a lot easier. After throwing for 235 yards and three touchdowns in last week's win over the New York Jets, Maye has posted at least 23 fantasy points and scored at least three times in three straight weeks.

Over that span, Maye is the highest-scoring fantasy quarterback by a wide margin, and the third-year signal-caller is up to eighth at his position in points for the season.

Quarterback Notes

The quarterback injury situation worsened in Week 6.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was diagnosed with blood clots in his lungs after returning from the team's London game against Jacksonville, in which he played every offensive snap. He is taking blood thinners and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

There could be some good news on the injury front in Week 7. After missing the last two games with an ankle injury, there is optimism that Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens will return to practice this week ahead of a pivotal AFC North matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Dallas Cowboys have lost three of four, in part because Dak Prescott and the offense are in a funk. After throwing four touchdown passes in Week 2, the quarterback has thrown just one scoring strike in four straight games. He's still inside the top-12 at the position in fantasy points, but just barely.

Start of the Week

Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (at Detroit Lions)

Over Green Bay's three-game winning streak, Love ranks sixth among quarterbacks in fantasy points. The good times should keep rolling Sunday against a Detroit defense that ranks last in the NFL in both total yards and passing yards allowed this season.

Sit of the Week

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs (at Seattle Seahawks)

The Chiefs are undefeated this season, but Mahomes has been in a bit of a statistical funk of lateโ€”he hasn't posted more than 17 fantasy points in a game since Week 2. Now he draws a Seattle pass defense surrendering just 141.3 passing yards per contest in 2026.

Sleeper of the Week

Tanner McKee, Philadelphia Eagles (vs. Dallas Cowboys)

McKee was actually OK in his first start for the Eagles last weekโ€”he threw for 215 yards and a touchdown against the Carolina Panthers. He is a sneaky spot-starter in Week 7 against a Dallas defense giving up the fifth-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season.

Running Backs

3 of 6
Broncos Chiefs Football
Chiefs RB Kenneth Walker III

At the rate he's going, Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III is going to win a lot of fantasy managers leagues this season.

After roasting the Los Angeles Chargers for 128 yards and two scores on 19 carries last week, Walker leads the NFL in rushingโ€”despite playing one fewer game than most backs. He is averaging a gaudy 6.3 yards per carry and 133 rushing yards per game, and he has found paydirt half-a-dozen times on the ground.

Walker has at least 115 rushing yards in four of five games. He has scored multiple touchdowns three times in five contests. And his 665 rushing yards over his first five games with the Chiefs is the most ever by a running back over his first five games with a team.

Running Back Notes

The good news is that there weren't any significant new injuries to running backs in Week 6. The bad news is that there are still a robust number of banged-up backs headlined by Saquon Barkley of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Barkley hasn't practiced since hurting his hamstring, and he's iffy at best for this week's visit from the rival Cowboys.

Jahmyr Gibbs of the Detroit Lions was unable to rampage once again in Week 6, but that's only because he was on a bye. He has been off the chain for fantasy managers this seasonโ€”he's averaging 5.7 yards per touch, has a league-high nine total touchdowns and is the only player in all of fantasy averaging over 30 PPR points per game.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, Omarion Hampton of the Los Angeles Chargers has struggled to make a fantasy impact this season. After seven carries for 18 yards last week against the Chiefs, he has hit 15 PPR points just once in six games.

Start of the Week

Dameon Pierce, Philadelphia Eagles (vs. Dallas Cowboys)

In the span of a few weeks, Pierce has gone from the practice squad to starting in the backfield for the injury-ravaged Eagles. Pierce is barely averaging over two yards per carry, but the Cowboys have the NFL's worst defenseโ€”Dallas is giving up just under 150 yards per game on the ground.

Sit of the Week

Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Hubbard has been excellent for fantasy managers this seasonโ€”he's seventh among running backs in PPR points per game after six weeks. But the sledding won't be easy this week against the Buccaneersโ€”Tampa has the NFC's stingiest run defense, allowing just 75.5 yards per game.

Sleeper of the Week

Bam Knight, Arizona Cardinals (vs. Denver Broncos)

Despite being short-handed in the backfield last week, the Cardinals stuck with a committee attackโ€”Knight turned 17 touches into 98 total yards against the Los Angeles Rams. The Broncos have been generous to opposing running backs in 2026, giving up the sixth-most PPR points per game to the position.

Wide Receivers

4 of 6
Packers Jets Football
Packers WR Matthew Golden

In many respects, the top performers at wide receiver this year have been the usual suspects. Seeing Jaxon Smith-Njigba of the Seattle Seahawks, CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys and Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions inside the top five after six weeks is no surprise.

However, seeing not one but two wide receivers from the Green Bay Packers inside the top 10 is another story.

Of late, it has been second-year pro Matthew Golden who has been on a rip. His six-catch, 104-yard, one-touchdown performance against Dallas last week marked his third 20-point outing in four weeks.

Christian Watson has done his part as well. He's third in PPR points at the position thanks to two outings with over 30 PPR points and 19.8 points per game.

Wide Receiver Notes

No position has been hit harder by injuries this year than wide receiver, and those hits kept coming in Week 6. Terry McLaurin of the Washington Commanders suffered a season-ending patellar tendon tear Monday night, while Davante Adams of the Los Angeles Rams ruptured his hamstring and will be out indefinitely.

Mike Evans of the San Francisco 49ers left Monday's win over Washington with Achilles soreness. Romeo Doubs of the New England Patriots landed on injured reserve after injuring his shoulder. And Ladd McConkey's nightmare season continuesโ€”add a concussion to his long list of ailments.

It was a bad week for injuries, but it was a good one for rookie pass-catchersโ€”both Germie Bernard of the Pittsburgh Steelers (11/87/1) and Omar Cooper Jr. of the New York Jets (6/103/1) landed among the top-10 wideouts in PPR points in Week 6.

Start of the Week

DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles (vs. Dallas Cowboys)

Smith was the primary target and then some for Tanner McKee last week against the Panthers, turning a whopping 14 targets into seven catches for 75 yards and a touchdown. He's in the WR1 conversation again this week against the Dallas Cowboys and their struggling pass defense.

Sit of the Week

Omar Cooper Jr., New York Jets (vs. Miami Dolphins)

One of the Jets' three first-round picks last April, Cooper was as advertised last week against the Patriots. But Garrett Wilson is still the alpha wide receiver for Gang Green, and the Dolphins have surprisingly surrendered the third-fewest PPR points per game to wide receivers in 2026.

Sleeper of the Week

Brandin Cooks, San Francisco 49ers (at Atlanta Falcons)

With San Francisco dealing with multiple injuries at wide receiver, Cooks could play a significant role for the 49ers on Sunday against an Atlanta Falcons defense allowing the sixth-most PPR points per game to the position this season.

Tight Ends

5 of 6
Saints Giants Football
Giants TE Isaiah Likely

Over the summer, there was some disagreement over who the top tight end in fantasy football would be. But there were two candidates for the honor in 2026โ€”Trey McBride of the Arizona Cardinals and Brock Bowers of the Las Vegas Raiders.

In terms of PPR points per game, Bowers is indeed No. 1 at the position. But in terms of total points, there's an un-Likely top dog.

See what I did there?

Thanks to six catches for 99 yards and a touchdown last week against the New Orleans Saints, Isaiah Likely of the New York Giants is one of two tight ends who has already logged 100 fantasy points.

Fantasy managers who heeded the advice of fantasy pundits who pegged Likely as a breakout candidate in 2026 are reaping the rewards.

Tight End Notes

When Bowers returned to the Raiders' lineup in Week 3, most fantasy managers believed that Michael Mayer would retreat back into obscurity. But Mayer has actually been more productive with Bowers on the fieldโ€”he's eighth among all tight ends in points over the last month.

Kyle Pitts of the Atlanta Falcons offered little fantasy production over the first month of the season, but he has heated up in recent weeks. His two-week total of 10 catches for 102 yards and three touchdowns puts him second in PPR points among tight ends over that span.

Fantasy managers got a scare in Week 6 when Dalton Kincaid of the Buffalo Bills left Sunday's wild win over the Raiders with a rib injury. However, fantasy's No. 11 tight end in PPR points through six weeks returned to the game, and with the Bills off in Week 7 he should be fine moving forward.

Start of the Week

Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers (at Detroit Lions)

Green Bay's wide receivers are kicking tail and taking names, but Kraft has been rather disappointing in 2026. He's outside the top 12 at the position in PPR points after six weeks. But the Lions present a golden opportunity for a "get right" gameโ€”Detroit leads the league in PPR points per game allowed to tight ends by a wide margin.

Sit of the Week

Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons (vs. San Francisco 49ers)

Pitts has produced well over the past couple of weeks, but a difficult matchup could limit his production this week. The Falcons face the San Francisco 49ers, who have allowed the fourth-fewest PPR points to tight ends this season.

Sleeper of the Week

A.J. Barner, Seattle Seahawks (vs. Kansas City Chiefs)

It has been a quiet year for Barner. He has amassed over eight PPR points in just one of six games this season. But this week gives him a chance for his second big outing of the yearโ€”the Chiefs have been kind to opposing tight ends this year, giving up the most fantasy points per game in the AFC to tight ends.

Team Defenses and Kickers

6 of 6
Broncos Chiefs Football
Broncos edge Nik Bonitto

This analyst has long been a proponent of "streaming" team defenses based on matchupsโ€”so much changes from year-to-year (or even week-to-week) that last season's treasure can quickly become this year's trash.

Fantasy managers who invested in one of the top-three defenses in terms of ADP are finding that out the hard way in 2026.

Admittedly, the Denver Broncos have rebounded from a rough start. With three big outings over their last four contests, they have climbed all the way to third in points among defenses.

The Los Angeles Rams and Houston Texans, not so much. Whether due to injuries or just poor performance, they are both sitting outside the top 20 after six weeks.

Team Defense and Kicker Notes

Despite having already had their bye week, the Minnesota Vikings still lead all defenses in fantasy points and in fantasy points per game by a sizable margin. However, after this week's home date with the Indianapolis Colts the schedule tightens upโ€”the Lions, Bills and Packers are Minnesota's next three opponents.

The Cincinnati Bengals spent big on the defensive side of the ball in the offseason, and that investment is paying off for fantasy managers six weeks into the season. The Bengals were also on a bye last week, but that hasn't stopped them from ranking a respectable seventh in fantasy points.

Six weeks into the season, there are two kickers averaging over 10 fantasy points per game, yet neither was drafted over the summer. Spencer Shrader of the Indianapolis Colts and Will Reichard of the Minnesota Vikings have combined for 33 field goal attemptsโ€”and made them all.

Start of the Week

San Francisco 49ers Defense (at Atlanta Falcons)

The 49ers rank sixth among defenses in fantasy points after six weeks. The Falcons have given up the third-most fantasy points per game to defenses. You can't argue with math.

Ryan Fitzgerald, Carolina Panthers (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Fitzgerald has been OK for fantasy managersโ€”he's ninth in fantasy points per game among kickers so far this season. Meanwhile, the Buccaneers are one of three teams giving up double-digit points per game to the position.

Sit of the Week

Seattle Seahawks Defense (vs. Kansas City Chiefs)

Just as they were in a march to a championship last year, the Seahawks are excellent on defense this year. But no team in the AFC has given up fewer fantasy points per game to defenses than the Chiefs this year.

Trey Smack, Green Bay Packers (at Detroit Lions)

Smack has had a couple of good games this year, but the Lions are so bad defensively that opponents aren't kicking field goals. Just two teams have allowed fewer fantasy points per game to kickers.

Sleeper of the Week

Carolina Panthers Defense (vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

The Panthers aren't especially good defensively, and most of their fantasy production came in a Week 2 blowout of the Atlanta Falcons. But Tampa leads the league in fantasy points per game allowed to team defenses in 2026.

Andre Szmyt, Cleveland Browns (at Tennessee Titans)

Szmyt hit the game-winner last week against the Baltimore Ravens. He has missed just once in two dozen-plus attempts. And the Titans have surrendered the fourth-most fantasy points per game to kickers this year.
