DK Metcalf Appears to Shade Sauce Gardner in Trending Video Ahead of Steelers vs. Colts

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf seemingly provided Indianapolis Colts cornerback Sauce Gardner with some bulletin-board material heading into a Week 5 matchup between the two teams.

When asked by reporters about what he needs to be mindful of when facing Gardner on Friday, Metcalf responded by asking "Who?"

"I don't worry about what a DB does well — they've got to guard me," he added (6:06 mark).

Gardner and Metcalf have faced off in three games throughout their respective careers.

While it's important to note that they weren't lined up against each other on every snap, Gardner racked up nine tackles and eight passes defended across their previous trio of matchups.

As for Metcalf, he caught nine of his 21 targets for 152 yards in those three contests.

This season, Metcalf and the Steelers sit at 2-2 through four weeks. The two-time Pro Bowler has hauled in 16 receptions for 213 yards and one touchdown.

The Colts are similarly 2-2 this season, with Gardner appearing in all four contests. He's picked up 14 tackles and four passes defended despite allowing a 125.6 passer rating when targeted, according to Pro Football Focus.

Kickoff between the Colts and Steelers is on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
