The Milwaukee Brewers highlighted outfielder Garrett Mitchell's game-saving catch following their 3-1 win over the San Diego Padres in Game 4 of the National League Division Series on Wednesday night.
With the Brewers leading 3-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning, Padres third baseman Manny Machado hit a ball deep to right-centerfield, but Mitchell tracked it down and elevated ever so slightly to prevent a home run:

Had the ball left the yard, it would have tied the game at 3-3 and given the Padres new life in the game and the series.
Instead, Milwaukee managed to close it out from there, thus eliminating the Padres from the playoffs and advancing to the National League Championship Series.
Mitchell was the unquestioned star of the game for the Brewers in all facets, as he thrived at the plate in addition to his defense.
The 28-year-old veteran gave the Brew Crew a 1-0 lead in the third inning with an RBI single, and he later broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth when he hit a triple and then scored on an RBI single by Jackson Chourio.
After posting the best record in Major League Baseball during the regular season at 103-59, the Brewers are now back in the NLCS for a second consecutive year.
Awaiting them is a rematch with the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have won back-to-back World Series and are trying for the first three-peat since the New York Yankees from 1998 to 2000.
